There are three essential things to look for in any new MLM:

1. Products - The products MUST be stand-alone. What this means is that the product must be something that would easily sell in the local supermarket without the attached payplan that the MLM offers. This is a good way to judge how successful the product will be. This is important because you don't want people to join simply with the idea that they can make money with this company but rather because the company offers a product with mass appeal, and great benefits. Compare the product with its competitors like you would two grocery items from competing brands. 2. Integrity - This is the most commonly lacking part of most MLMs. Choose a company where the corporate heads, and the independent leaders are willing to stand behind the product, and their word. Do a thorough check on the background of the founders of the company, and try to find individual testimonials for their product, and for the company itself.

3. A solid payplan - The company's compensation plan must be clear and precise. Avoid companies with multi-dimensional matrices and unclear payment policies. Also avoid joining companies with high qualification requirements for even the most basic earnings. Additionally, see how much the company pays on an individual product at its maximum and minimum. This will give you an idea of the profit margin they have on the product itself, and thus give you an idea of whether similar products could be found at much cheaper prices in the non-MLM markets.
