The Old School and the New School of Network Marketing

Whether you had success or struggled in network marketing, there's something happening in this industry that all network marketers will want to know.Old School
Many of those who had success in network marketing already started out by making a list of people they knew and built relationships. Your efforts travel around by word of mouth and a small handful of people will show interest in your business and or the products. You hold a meeting, explain the business opportunity, and the products, and some will join your network marketing business or buy the products from you.
After repeated attempts of the same process, the business grows steadily and some have amassed a great organization that pays residual income on a monthly basis. That's great for you, but in order for your organization to keep growing, the question to ask yourself is:
"How can you help your downlines grow their business?"
The simple answer is.... "It's about nurturing your downlines to grow". And when I speak of growth, it's not the amount of customers or distributors that your downlines sponsors. Those are the end results. Great network marketing business leaders focus on training their downlines to become leaders. Your downlines can become leaders when they know something more valuable that can help their potential prospects. Leadership is about offering value to someone who needs it. Hence the saying "The herd always follows the leader."
So what kind of knowledge can you provide to make your downlines obtain leadership skills? I'll tell you right off the bat, it's not the same methods and techniques that were used in the past like creating a dream board, setting goals, making a list of people you know and contacting those people to see if they are interested. Those methods rarely work in this day and age.
New School
The younger generation of today who join network marketing opportunities uses a totally different approach to building their network marketing business.
They are using a new marketing model called Attraction Marketing and they leverage a variety of technologies available on the Internet.
The concept is... rather than chasing prospects and customers, they create a system in which prospects get attracted to them. Why do they attract prospects? Because they have something of value to offer and it's not just about the products or the business opportunity. They are offering a ton of great value more than the benefit of the product or the opportunity itself.
