Whether you are new to internet marketing or have been around for some time, you've probably realised that having a good Lead Capture Page within your Marketing system, is vital to your online success.

The sole purpose of a Lead Capture Page(also known as squeeze pages, or gateway pages)is to get your prospect's personal contact information.

You want to drive loads of targeted traffic to your lead capture pages- where they are compelled to fill out the form and submit their name, email and perhaps phone number.

This is where they become a lead and get added to your list and marketing pipeline.

How do prospects find your lead capture pages?

Prospects are driven to your Lead Capture Pages through your online marketing efforts. These can include Ezine articles, Blogs,Video Marketing, Pay-Per-Click ads, social networking sites - and much much more.

Once a reader lands on a marketing piece and clicks on one of your lead Capture Page URL's (which are placed at a strategic point in your piece),they are taken to your lead capture page where they can opt in.

You want to obviously get the highest possible conversion rate- i.e. a high percentage of people that land on your landing page, actually fill in the form in order to get more information from you.

He/she gives her contact details, essentially permitting you to put them on your list, and into your marketing pipeline.

And, the list, my friends, is the greatest asset you can have. It's the MLM equivalent of a store owner's inventory.

This is the most important thing that Mike Dillard, in his groundbreaking training manual, Magnetic Sponsoring, has explained.

The importance of the list:

The list is far more than just your list of MLM customers or distributors....it is your list of prospects with whom you build a relationship over time (whether they buy your MLM products/opportunity or not).

These are people interested in hearing from you, and when the time is right, doing business with you.

You see, people are not interested in your company or it's products. They are really looking for solutions. In Network Marketing, one of our target market's (people we attract to our site) is people looking at network marketing as a solution to their need for to control their financial future. They are looking for a leader and a system that can show them how to achieve this.

So,your Lead Capture Page for MLM needs to be "blind". That means no company logo, no graphics and no company pitches! In this way, you keep control of your list (independent of your company) and you do not violate MLM company policies. You also market your system's ability to deliver the longed for solutions.

Once your prospects opt into your list, you can load them into your autoresponder and drip pre written emails onto them, building a relationship over time. Email marketing is a topic for another article, and is an art of its own.

Remember, a personal autoresponder account builds your own list (whereas the company autoresponder builds the company's list- which is only one element of your business).

Below are some important things Mike Dillard recommends when creating your Lead Capture Page:

1. No company pitches or trademarks
2. Talk about the benefits of the product/opportunity
3. Use only 1 navigation link...its the SUBMIT/ACTION button
4.Write effective direct response copy that compels people to opt in
5.Know what the key benefit is of your product/opportunity....that is important to your target group...solve their problem!
6. Give them an incentive to fill out the form (e.g a single free report, a free 5 mini email series, an audio interview, a video training series)
7. Keep the form small (3-5 fields of data)
8. Keep your Lead Capture Page for MLM the right size (scrolling down reduces conversions)
9. Register a domain name that matches the subject matter of your Lead Capture Page
10.No fancy graphics- sites without fancy graphics do better than those with.

Lead Capture Pages: One out of three vital marketing Components

Lead Capture pages are only one of the three vital components you should have in your online marketing system. The other two are linked to your lead capture page and include:

1. Your web of content and marketing pieces or adverts on the net. It's where your prospects find you and is also known as your point of contact.

2. Your email autoresponder follow up system. This is where you build your relationship with your prospects, who come to know, like and buy from you.

If you are just starting out, you can use pre-made affiliate lead capture pages, like those offered by Internet Network Marketing Guru's- Ann Sieg, Mike Klingler and Mike Dillard.

Mike Dillard's Building on a Budget system has really given Network Marketers an excellent training using no or low cost Web 2.0 strategies to build their businesses online.

Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer is for me the quintessential Network Marketing system and a must have for anyone serious about building an MLM online.

I particularly like Mike Klingler's Renegade University affiliate system because it positions you and markets you as the guide, leading your prospects into his training making sure the prospect associates you with the course and resultant achievements.

The advantage, of course, with all of the above systems is that you don't have to create your own Lead Capture Pages. When you become an affiliate of any of the above programmes, you get your own affiliate lead capture link. When you market that link, prospects land on your affiliate lead capture page and become your leads.

You get paid an affiliate commission (if someone purchases a product or service)- which is usually quite probable, because the copywriting has been done by some of the best copywriters in the industry- which you get to leverage.

Once you know the ropes a little you can create your own lead capture pages. You can sart creating your own system and become a truly independent marketer.

The internet and network marketing are being used together nowadays to build lists and develop business relationships on a global scale.

Savvy MLMers are learning to create their internet web of content, drive traffic to their lead capture pages and use email autoresponder systems to market to their leads.It is an exciting time for network marketing. The industry is changing right before our very eyes.
