Most organizations are built with a CEO or President at the top, right on down to the assembly line worker.  Both are needed to make a strong company.

Look inside any business prospectus or magazine and see the chain of command. 

Look at our Government structure.                             

MLM, Network Marketing, and Direct Sales companies are perfect for a person who wants to work part-time from home or for a stay home mom that wants to earn an extra few hundred dollars a month. It is also the avenue for people to break free from the limitations of a pay check every two weeks to living the life of their dreams.

Beware of MLM companies that promise the world and quick riches with little work. A business takes work, period. Don't forget that. Ask the salesman that works on commission.

Stay clear of the smooth talker who wants to hunt down every warm relative from here to Timbuktu. Telling you to sign-up with a product you couldn't sell to a Yak!

But, I knew the product had to be better than any retail product I could find in the store, something almost everybody uses.

I looked into franchising of a restaurant or renting a store front,  but the start up cost was not in my stay home mom budget. The pressure of a 24/7 business was out of the question.

I researched the possibilities.

I came across the concept of Network Marketing. I could work at home with a low start up cost, no required inventory, include my family if the product was right, and earn a few extra dollars or more, a month. This sounded great! The more I researched, the more excited I became.

E-commerce is the next wave on the internet and I have my surf board in hand!

The network business model is what America was founded on. I started to think about businesses in my home town and this business concept was every where.

Insurance sales persons, car salesman, pharmaceutical salesman, beauty salons, technology stores are doing this every day. They all have a sales force with quotas. Sales people build the dreams of someone else. I want to work towards my dream.

To my surprise, the company sold what I love.

The company , promised more than a fine product line. They promised a future.  They trained me.  I was taught how to market and how to retail, fund raise, and build a team.

The people who taught me were passionate about helping everyone succeed.  

My husband and I talked with the company owners and we test-drove the product.

Everything this company offered was what I was looking for, even a free website and world class training. I couldn't sleep. 

Selling online intrigued me.  I was proud to invite, not pester, my friends to test drive my product.  I  started helping people earn extra money through fund raising, and even built a sales team like a regular business.

The internet is one of the most powerful sales tool today and growing each year. It will level the playing field. I can buy just about anything online and have it delivered to my door. I buy all my books online.

My life has changed because our whole family is passionate about our home business.

If I went back to my teaching position, I would have to take a pay cut.  My husband will be joining me full time in the business in 2008, and we are having a ball doing it.
