I love cocktails, cocktail parties, cocktail dresses, cocktail glassware............you get the idea!

There are so many different types of cocktails, in this lens we're just going to focus on those starting with M,N & O.   I have other lenses for the other letters, so please check them out.

Cocktails Beginning with M

Macaroon

6 parts vodka
1 part chocolate liqueur
1 part amaretto

Put all the ingredients plus ice into a shaker, shake, then strain into a Martini glass.

Manhattan

6 parts rye
2 parts sweet vermouth
dash Angostura bitters

Combine all of the ingredients along with ice cubes in a mixing glass. Stir well and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

The Classic Cocktail

6 parts gin
1/4 tsp dry vermouth
cocktail olive

Combine the gin and vermouth in a mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass, garnish with an olive and serve.

Mary Garden Cocktail

4 parts Dubonet rouge
2 parts dry vermouth

Combine ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

Midnight Kiss

40ml vodka
10ml blue curacao
1 tsp lemon juice
Champagne

Place vodka, blue curacao, lemon juice and ice into a cocktail shaker and shake, then strain into a champagne flute and top up with Champagne.

Cocktails Beginning with N

Naughty by Nature

2 1/2 shots raspberry vodka
1/2 shot triple sec
1/2 shot cranberry juice
1 dash freshly squeezed lime juice

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and then strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

New World

6 parts blended whiskey
2 parts fresh lime juice
2 tsp grenadine

Combine all of the ingredients, with ice, in a cocktail shaker, shake, strain and serve in a Martini glass.

Nightmare Martini

1 1/2 shots gin
1 shot cherry brandy
1 shot Dubonnet red
1 shot freshly squeezed orange juice

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

Normandy Cocktail

4 parts gin
2 parts calvados
1 part apricot brandy
1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice

Combine all the ingredients, along with ice, in a shaker and shake well. Strain into a Martini glass to serve.

Nuclear Fallout

A colourful shooter

1 tsp raspberry syrup
¼ part of maraschino
¼ part of yellow chartreuse
¼ part cointreau
½ part of well-iced blue curacao

Take a chilled shot glass and pour all of the drinks, except the blue curacao, in layers over a teaspoon. Finally pour in the blue curacao, as this is the heaviest AND the coldest it creates a slow dropping effect. Serve immediately!

Cocktails Beginning with O

One Ireland

4 parts Irish whiskey
1 part green crème de menthe
small scoop vanilla ice cream

Put all of the ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth then serve in a Martini glass.

Onion Ring Martini

2 rings fresh red onion
2 shots gin
1 shot sake rice wine
4 dashes orange bitters
1/2 tsp sugar syrup

Muddle the onion with the gin in the base of the shaker. Pour in the remaining ingredients, add ice and then shake. Strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

Opal Martini

2 shots gin
1 shot triple sec
2 shots freshly squeezed orange juice

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Opera

4 parts gin
2 parts dubonnet rouge
1 mart maraschino liqueur

Stir all of the ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a martini glass to serve.

Orgasmatini

2 shots vodka
1 shot chocolate liqueur
1 shot Baileys Irish Cream

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

    I am looking for a recipe for a Mulear Martini. Seems it's nowhere to be found (unless I'm just missing it). Does someone out there know it?
