Favorite Resorts
Hello! We are a family that normally lives in Minnesota. For the 2007-2008 school year we are living in Dublin and we're homesick. So we're making a list of our favorite vacation spots back home.
Fair Hills Resort - Located in Detroit Lakes Minnesota, we have visited Fair Hills for a couple of years now. It's very family-focused. Lots of activities for kids, catered meals, time for everyone to hang out and a little time for the parents to hang out alone.
Fun Ta Boot - Very near to the start of the Mississippi in Itasca Park, the first time the girls went fishing was at Fun-Ta-Boot, and they love it. We brought our own food and the girls actually remember the meals we had.
Adventure North - We spent a cozy winter weekend at this Leech Lake resort in Walker Minnesota. It snowed about a foot - but the girls loved playing in the snow and I loved watching them from in front of the fireplace.
Eagle Nest Lodge - Wedged between two lakes, Lake Winnie and Cutfoot Sioux, Eagle Next Lodge is a short distance from Grand Rapids and they have a great naturalist program in the summer - great for kids.
Timber Bay Lodge and Houseboats - Want something completely different? Timber Bay rents out house boats - it's great for fisherman and anyone just looking for a unique vacation near Ely Minnesota and the BWCA.
Big Timber Lodge - This is another resort in Park Rapids Minnesota, not far from the start of the Mississippi River. The cabins come with the mod cons and the lodge has a beautiful fireplace.
Pine Ridge Resort - On the shores of Girl Lake, Pine Ridge has a series of cabins, most are on the beach, all have a view of the lake. There are several restaurants near to the resort and lots of boats for guests to use.
Oak Lake Campground - On the way up to Duluth (from St Paul) it's easy to make a stop to Oak Lake Campground in Kerrick Minnesota. It's perfect if you have an RV, and if you don't have one but want one, they sell new and used RVs.

- Of course, every girl must own UGG 5819 in their natural colour. It's required. It's in the handbook. Complementing her UGG Boots 5819 and completing the sheepskin experience, every girl also ought to own a pair of super-comfortable UGG Classic Cardy 5819 slippers. But eventually a girl must face the fact that, when she wears her white or silver leggings, natural-toned UGG Caspia make her look like Pincess Leia-maybe fine for the outback, but when she leaves the frontier, a girl must step it up. Time to diversify. Do not fear the colours-pink, turquoise, and trustworthy navy blue for the faint-of-heart. Do not fear heels or wooden soles. Do not fear the boldest of bold statements. This season, you and your new UGG Caspia Boots can make a little fashion history of your own.
