Mobile Chicken Coops

Probably the biggest benefit of a mobile chicken coop is that they are much easier to clean. For those people who have limited cleaning equipment, you have the option of moving it nearer to the house.

Alternatively, you could move your mobile chicken coop to a paved area or to a garage and wash down with a hose if necessary.

Because mobile chicken coops are smaller they are cheaper to build. Because of their size it is often possible to use materials that you already have around your house. If not, it may be that a neighbor may have some of what you need. All this can really bring down the cost the cost of building a chicken coop.

By their very nature, mobile chicken coops will generally be quite small. Whether or not you feel this is good thing will depend entirely upon your circumstances and how many chickens you want to keep. If you are looking to keep a large number of chickens then you really need to look at a standard stationary chicken coop. If, however, you are just looking at keeping just a few chickens then a mobile chicken coop could be just the thing for you.
