HTC Droid Incredible
Launch Date 29th April
Verizon Wireless has announced that the HTC Droid Incredible will hit retail on April 29. The company will soon be accepting pre-orders. It has been known for some time that Verizon and HTC were conspiring to develop and launch a CDMA Android handset packing all the heat of the Nexus One and more; in February, we knew that handset to be the HTC Incredible. As of today, we not only know that it will be going to retail as the HTC Droid Incredible by Verizon, but we also know the complete list of specifications.Shown right, the HTC Incredible offers a 3.7%u2033 AMOLED show with a WVGA resolution of 480×800. Dimensions for the phone are 4.63%u2033 tall, 2.3%u2033 wide and 0.47%u2033 thick, smaller than the Nexus One in all dimensions save thickness, where it's 0.02%u2033 beefier.
On the subject of hardware, the Incredible continues to deliver with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM (320MB free), 8GB onboard storage and a microSDHC slot for up to 32GB of additional space. The handset also offers 802.11b/g/n (an industry first), an 8MP camera with LED flash, A-GPS and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. Trackball haters will also be pleased to learn that the trackpad is optical.

Meet Niko the N900 Lego Robot Controlled Via Twitter
Though it is not currently completed and though it is not entirely made out of LEGO pieces, the robot named Niko is still a very interesting machine that can understand commands sent to it via Twitter. The Finnish mobile phone manufacturer started the Push N900 competition in the US, which is practically the reason why this particular gadget right here exists. Nokia began its endeavor because of N900's ability to withstand serious modding and hacking.
Various teams registered in this contest, including the one that is currently working on the Niko robot controlled via a Nokia N900 and Twitter. At the base of the robot there, is the LEGO Mindstorm NXT 2.0 kit with custom software.
Its brains are an N900 with a Twitter API, which can trace an account created specially for it. From there on, Niko understands the commands sent to this Twitter account and acts accordingly, as you will be able to see in the movie,

Dell's Upcoming Tablet PC
A UK release date has not been set, but the device is expected in stores later this year.
Officially introduced at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Dell's upcoming tablet PC adds yet another option to what is fast becoming a booming market.
The name game
Dell remained noncommittal about the device's name, referring to it only as a 'tablet concept'- though names like 'Mini 5' and 'Streak' have surfaced a lot online.
Specs
Details about the device remain scarce, but the company did confirm that the device will feature a 5-inch, 800×400 WVGA touchscreen, and a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, as well as utilising Google's latest Android 2.0 mobile operating system.
Mobile Internet device?
Though introduced as a tablet PC, the size of the device - larger than a mobile phone but smaller than an iPad, for instance - places it comfortably in the category of mobile Internet device (MID). During CES, journalists were allowed brief hands-on sessions to interact with the device's thin form factor; while larger than today's mobile phones, it seems to fit comfortably in-hand.
Just rumours?
While there has been much buzz about the device online, consumers will have to be patient to see if rumoured features (3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, memory card support) actually make it onto the final product. As with other MIDs, the device will undoubtedly be optimized for web searches, browsing, and multimedia content. Dell indicated that, along with other devices planned for release this year, the Streak will be equipped with Intel's powerful new i3, i5, and i7 processors.
Competition
Due to its size, it's hard to tell whether or not the device will compete directly with other tablets like the Apple iPad, but Dell's Vice-President of Mobile Devices, John Thode, strongly indicated that '[Apple] is going to have more competition,' most likely with the release of a family of Streak devices in larger sizes at later stages.
