Living a Bohemian Lifestyle in the Age of Technology

So many opportunities have opened up for creative types like me because of technology. Here is a list of some examples to illustrate what I mean.
Music- My boyfriend is a DJ and writes his own music electronically! Amazing! Bohemians in Puccini's day did not have that kind of opportunity! Not only can music be made using technology, it can be sold and bought (I-tunes anyone) and carried with you at all times! Crazy!
Social Networking- I love that I can stay in contact with my friends and meet so many new people because of the internet. There are sites completely devoted to social networking! (Facebook, Myspace, etc.)
Business- Just about anyone can have their own business nowadays. Whether it is full time, part time, or just supplemental income, technology has made business possible for the average person. Pretty cool. I myself have two businesses and also make money with other online endeavors. I work part time, but now I have options that I would not have had even twenty years ago to make extra money on the side.
Going green- Being able to publish online means saving paper. Buying songs online saves on packaging. Not to mention, I can write as many poems, songs, short stories, and books as I want without using paper or pencil... I just save them on my laptop. Plus, the internet has valuable tips and resources for going green, including resources that allow you to buy and sell used goods. (Craigslist, Ebay, etc.)
There is more, but I am sure that you're starting to see the benefits here.

The modern hustle and bustle of the world is a bit much for me. Like I said, I appreciate technology and of course I appreciate money (gotta pay the rent somehow!) but I know that there are other things that are more important.
There is natural beauty in the world all around us if we only open our eyes to see it. Nature, art, music, love, family, friendships, peace, happiness, spirituality... these are the things that are truly important to me, and I make sure that I make time to appreciate them.

Music, Poetry, Romance, Art, Movies, TV, Books, Love, Peace, Crocheting, Making jewelry, Making bath and body products, Writing, Singing, Playing trombone and piano,Teaching, Talking, Cuddling, Flirting, Kissing, Being independent and free, Trying new things, Hanging out with friends, Jam sessions, Photography, Photo shoots, Meeting new people, Karaoke, Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling, Shopping (especially at Goodwill, Plato's Closet, and Vintage stores), Open mic nights, Street entertainers (I love that my boyfriend can juggle!), Originality, Fun, Pets, Volunteer Work, Facebook, Ehow, Etsy, Squidoo Life, Nature, Beauty Freedom, Organic produce, Monkeys, Squirrels, Babies, Family, Spirituality Religious texts, Creativity, Happiness, Bowling, Garage Sales, Picnics, Walks, Frankenmuth, Lava Lamps, Moccasins, Etc.Etc.Etc.

I love to love. My true goal in life is to love all living things. Sometimes it is hard to find the good in something, but I feel like if I try hard enough, even if I don't succeed at meeting my goal, I will still be a better person for trying just because love is so important. I must love myself, love those close to me, and love the people and creatures of the world.

I try to share my love whenever I can. I give it to my boyfriend, my family, my friends, and to my little sweetheart, Ava. Ava is my cat. I adopted her from the ASPCA in 2007 and she has helped me to be even more loving than I ever was before. I got her at a very hard time in my life, and loving her and taking care of her helped me through that time and opened my eyes to the light in front of me.
