Increase Website Traffic - Internet Marketing

Without traffic your website will basically be sitting in what I like to call the website graveyard. Hundreds if not thousands of websites are built daily. Very few are successful because the owner or company does not know how to increase website traffic. Below is a list of just some of the methods you can use to increase your website traffic.

Here are some tips in no certain order.

Build additional backlinks - Exchange links with other sites related to your field. You can also build backlinks with non related fields. You will still get traffic but it won't be quite as targeted. Submit your site to Web Directories with High PageRank and high amounts of traffic as this will help your site traffic tremendously. Be sure to use the keywords you want to rank for as your site title when submitting to the directories. If you don't know how to determine the Google Pagerank or the amount of website traffic for a particular site then consider visiting the site to learn valuable website promotion tips which will greatly help increase your traffic. More traffic equals more profit!

Start a blog - Start your own blog and write high quality content on a daily basis. Write everyday if possible and make sure you link the blog to your website. The more valuable content you write, the more you will increase your site traffic.

Use individual creativity - Produce a video and place it on YouTube. Make sure the video is extremely funny or sad or useful. People love videos. Make sure that you display your website link somewhere on the video.

Optimize your site for SEO - Make sure your keywords are optimized for organic search. Use short tail and long tail keywords. It's always good to get the high volume traffic but also the narrow niches as well. Use proper Titles and title descriptions for each page of your website. This is one of the most important steps to increase your website traffic.

Be a guest blogger - Write high quality articles for other bloggers in your niche or close to your niche. Check the amount of traffic the blooger has in advance using a site such as statbrain.com. Once your article is written send the blogger an email with a copy of the article asking him or her if they can use it on their site. Be sure to include a link back to your site in the resource box.

Write great comments- This is an oldie but a goody. Find high profile blogs in your niche and leave some extremely useful comments in the comment section being sure to link to your site. Many people read blog comments. If your comment is valuable enough the reader will click on the link and be transported to your site.

Perform article marketing - Write high quality useful articles for online ezines such as EzineArticles.com, eHow.com, GoArticles.com and many more. Always make sure you leave a link back to your site in the resource box. Another excellent way to increase your website traffic.

The above list is just some of the ways to increase your website traffic. They are proven methods that I have personally used with success.The main thing is you must be creative and you must have patience. Rome was not built in one night and neither will your booming website. Stay the course and you'll do just fine.

Now a few personal thoughts from me.....

In a world where the top 2% own over 50% of the wealth it is good to see so many fighting back. Looking at those figures, however, it really does appear that we are all still just a bunch of peasants.

The great thing about it is that the common people are armed with information this go around.

I don't believe that all of us want to be in the top 2% but I think a large portion of us would truly enjoy the opportunity to live our lives without the evil stress of money woes. Mothers and Fathers alike want to experience the joy of seeing their son or daughter's first school play. Young singles grew up watching the stress and feeling the struggle. People are beginning to open their eyes.

The ability to learn is a gift. If you possess that gift you simply must not abuse it.

Creativity is a trait that a healthy child is born with. That alone should be good enough reason not to waste it.

Our world says we can do whatever we want if we want it bad enough.
