I am a very modest girl, I like to cover up, but every girl still wants to feel attractive and sexy. I compiled a list of beautiful dresses that are classy and sexy. Dresses that any woman can be proud to wear for any occasion.

Some of these dresses are strapless, but come with matching jackets or shrugs. Some have short or three quarter sleeves and other gowns that have long sleeves.

These dresses can be worn to prom, as wedding dress, bride maid dresses, fancy parties, award shows, a night on town with your boyfriend or husband, and since they are so modest they could even be worn to church.

This dress comes with a short jacket and rosettes at the side of the dress and a ruffle that comes down from the flowers.

To find the proper modest dress for you, you may have to look outside of the box. You have to think very differently sometimes. Buying vintage dresses, costumes dresses or even mother of the bride dresses can be a modest and fun way to show off your style. There are ball gowns and colorful Indian sarees that can make your personality show through.

This is a classic example on how modest can be very sexy. This is a great piece for any girl's wardrobe. I just love the flowers that go all around the collar, usually they just have flowers on the front of the scoop neck.

Mother of the Bride?

These dresses are not the mother of the bride dresses that they used to have. These are awesome looking and sexy strapless gowns that come with shrugs and jackets. A few of them have sleeves or staps and all are lovely colors and materials.

My mother wouldn't be caught dead in something so formfitting and sexy, but it is well covered and fairly modest for a prom or fancy outing.

I just love this dark blue dress and yes it comes in a lighter blue. The cut draws the eye away from the waist and makes it appear smaller than it is. The pin at the side is so pretty and the trim is divine. I'd were this lovely dress anywhere I could.

The Real Gown

This read gown is the best and most beautiful on this lens, it has a full skirt and a lovely matching shrug. Beaded accents on the shrug, the bodice and the skirt, and it has a pleating. It is a very rich color and is made out of a shinny sleek fabric.

I like this gown not just because it is beautiful, but because the shrug unlike others I've seen is a solid color and material. The shrug is also well fitted with no gaping. The sleeves are also a good length.

Sexy, short and modest

You don't have to wear a full ball gown or a long skirt to get a modest look. This shorter, sexy look is also very modest.

The sleeves are a good length as well, the three quarters length makes it impossible for them to ride up on you. The material is a rich satin and solid color is amazingly pretty. It had gatherings at the bodice, an empire waist and more gathering around the stomach.

I like this dress for it's modest formal look without being to fussy.

    These are really beautiful prom dresses! Yes, it is true, I would have been the one in the ball gown. LOL I still have my high school prom gown. It was/is a Juliet style gown with a cape. (freaked everyone out back then. I loved it :) I always knew I was born in the wrong fashion era. Perhaps my comment would make a bit more sense in context. My high school prom was in the 70's disco era.
