    MODx vs Joomla
(Honestly, you shouldn't even compare these 2... bloated code Joomla provides).
I can account for this as I started of on Mambo - Joomla - Drupal (bang head here). Modx has been a great development tool and finally unshackled us from design to development. There is a bit of getting used to the different parameters. I am so glad to see this post.

I'm proud that you mentioned Hip-HopBase.com in "Websites Powered By MODx". Just to let you all know, the language is Croatian :)

I am fairly new to the world of developing sites within a CMS framework, but that being said, I find MODx to be superior in its flexibility. One of great things about this product is the ease with which you can import your own CSS-driven design into the MODx structure. Hands down, it beats all the 'biggies' (drupal, joomla, et al) in this regard. And there is just so much you can do with MODx. Every time I log into the administration console I feel like a kid in a candy store. Three cheers for MODx. I hope the development team keeps this one going -- it is a great CMS.

Great lens on MODx! I used it in it's early stages for several sites and loved it. I haven't seen it in about a year, need to check it out again.

I can truly say it is the best CMS and beat Joomla and Drupal hands down. Great support on the forums and through the members.

    Thanks!

I know a bit of xhtml and css (just enough to hand-code a workable website with little IE probs). Have tried Joomla, E107 and Wordpress to create a website but I always fail to apply my own template.
Then come ModXCMS. And everything is history.!

I've built over 10 sites using MODx - including my own, www.impress-design.com - and love how easy it is to use. I've also built 7 or 8 sites with Joomla! and prefer MODx for its simplicity. Thanks for the great info on the site. It's nice to see comparisons and other resources.
