Corporate intimidation or protection of intellectual rights?

Moe Parr VS Monsanto

In the movie Food Inc. seed cleaner owner Moe Parr is interviewed and the story is told of how he is being sued by Monsanto, a genetically modified soybean seed developer and patent owner, for allowing farmers to clean their seeds so they can be reused the next year to plant new crops.

Moe Parr states he's providing services to farmers who aren't using Monsanto's seeds. Monsanto claims he is. Is Monsanto wrongfully intimidating Moe Parr? Is Moe Parr using Food Inc.'s fame to make them look like the bad guy? You decide.

Food Inc.

The movie that sparked the question

I thought I was all for whole foods, healthy lifestyles, and the ethical treatment of animals, but after watching this movie I'm all that plus just pissed. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know that there are thousands of people out there working hard to do whatever it takes to make money and cover up the disgusting side effects, but this was just infuriating. It's not surprising, but it's hard to stomach that it's become acceptable for the corporations that manufacture what we put in our mouths to create such a win-lose situation and then add insult to injury on top of it.

It's also a little disgusting that we, the people buying this stuff and paying these corporation leaders' incomes, allow it. And nope, they're not forcing any of us to eat it, either.
