Stay At Home Mom

Well... Here it goes... My first lens.
My name is Linda and I live in Croatia - a small country in Europe. I am proud mother of two little boys. I have a mission. I want to be a stay at home mom. This is my story.

My husband doesn`t earn much so the only way that I could be at home with my children, is to find the most effective way to earn a monthly income on the internet. So, I started exploring. Google and I become very good friends over the past few weeks. I didn't had much sleep. I have read hunderds of advices and tips to learn how to make money online, but one very inspirative lens about at home staying mom that earns money on Squidoo, made me thinking. Is it possible? I don't know, I am new here but I am certainly gonna try it. I will close my eyes and dive in. Who dares, wins. Right?

About My Mission

Work At Home Mom

Moms mugMy husband thinks that my mission isn't such a good idea. He believes that the only way to earn money is to make your hands dirty. Literally. I hope I will able to show him that he's wrong and that the internet provides a variety of differnet opportunities for earning money.
However, I am completely aware that making money online is a job like any other and it takes a lot of time and hard work to achieve your goals. It's a bit easier if you are doing something that you like. Well, I love to write. I have a personal blog that I would like to share with you but it is written on Croatian language. If there are any Croatian people, feel free to read more about me on mamablogerica.bloger.hr.

Why Squidoo?

I am new on Squidoo, but according to what I have seen and read so far, this is the best place for me. I could easily make a web site somewhere else and write reviews about products that I like. However, I think I would be felling "alone on the web". I am a bloger at heart, I like to be a member of some kind of community. Can wait to explore other lenses and learn more Squidoo tips for lensmasters. Maybe even make some new friends?

Inspiration

stay at home momYou could say that I was lost before I discover Squidoo. I didn't know where to start and what to do. As I mentioned above, I was looking for some tips about making money online and I run into a lens that inspired me to join Squidoo. "Are you a Stay at Home Mom (or Dad) Interested in Earning a Monthly Income?" is amazing lens about Janet21's ideas for making money through Squidoo lenses. This is a must -read for stay at home moms or dads. Janet21's success is a truly inspiration for everyone.

Motivation

People say that the motivation is the key of success. I feel motivated every time when I look at my children. I want to be able to stay home with my two little boys and earn a monthy income to pay bills and maybe buy a few toys. My dream is to be a work at home mom. Dario is almost two and a half years and Leo is just 7 months old. My maternitiy leave will end in March next year when Leo turn 1 so I have a couple of months to see if I am going to accomplish my goals. Stay tuned, I will update my progress.

Motivational quotes

  • "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
    - Steve Jobs
  • "Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do."
    - Orison Swett Marden
  • "The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible."
    - Arthur C. Clarke

Willing is not enough; we must do."

Awesome lens. I think kids are blessed if they have a stay at home parent. My wife wouldn't be happy not working so I'm an aspiring stay at home dad. We have a 6 year old and a 21 year old.

I have to say, as a long-time Squidoo-er, that YOU are now inspiring others!

I love, love, love your mission and I am proof you can do it! I have been able to work online over the last few years and my "kids" are now 17 & 22. They are both still living at home, and I have never regretted a single moment of choosing to be a MOM. Best job EVER!!

Yes -- you CAN do this. It does take some time, but keep at it. If your mission time runs out, your Squidoo-ing can always keep going. Even an hour a week adds up over time and your lenses can continue to grow and evolve. I have had months when I was unable to work, but my previous work kept making me income! Keep being YOU!

If I may be so bold --- I am so PROUD of you! One look at your children (adorable photos!) and I can see what a wonderful mom you are to them. That is a treasure!

***Blessed by a SquidAngel*** for touching my heart, fantastic photos, and being the kind of person we are all happy to call a "Squid."

All my income comes from Squidoo, I live very modestly but have been on a tight budget for so long that as my earnings grow I am able to help my children. I encourage you to continue your mission. I warn you thought that I work often 12-16 hours a day and even dream in Squidoo. Best of luck to you!
