Work at Home Moms Blog
My focus is now first on our children, my time with them and what I can do for them as a mother and role model.
As an entrepreneurial mom, my passions include writing, marketing, personal growth and helping other moms to discover and follow their passion within. I also enjoy working with children teaching preschool courses and after school programs because children are truly a great inspiration.
My business partner and husband, Brad and I have been studying with a mentor who taught us about mindset and how powerful it is to BE, DO and HAVE everything you want in life. Our studies have opened our eyes to a whole new world. I only hope I can inspire others to follow their dreams as they have inspired me. Life is about enjoying every moment.

WAHM Realization
"It's All Worth It"
Although, I am with my children almost 24/7 because I work from home and care for other children along with my own children, I often wonder,
"Am I doing enough?"
"Did I work on the computer too much today and not give them enough of my time?"
"Are they getting everything they want and need?"
I work from home because I chose to stay home with my children while still earning a living, it was my choice. Now, there will always be an ongoing debate on whether it's better for a parent to be home full time or send them to childcare while both parents work outside of the home.
I think it's everyone's perogative of what choice they want to make, despite the fact some say they have no choice. I actually know single moms who are very successful working from home and others who work outside of the home and have very loving relationships with their children. So who can say what's best for you and your children?
You and only You can.
Yesterday, as I was preparing supper, Devin and Livi in usual fashion burst into the kitchen (BTW, we had all been sick for the last two weeks and been in our home for four straight days as well because the temp had dropped below 30), looking for milk, snacks before supper, basically all of my attention while I was trying to get supper ready and I was feeling, well a little overwhelmed to say the least. Just then, my now 4-year-old son said, "Mama, I am really happy."
I dropped everything and I could feel the warmth rise up, my eyes start to tear and a smile spread across my face. I whizzed around and I gave him a big hug.
It reminded me of something my mom and other moms as well have repeatedly said to me, "If they are happy and well adjusted, then you're doing everything right." That is when it hit me, "Yep, I made the right decision and it's all worth it."
Cheers! K.

WAHMS Screw Up Like Everyone Else
If At First You Don
We can learn so much by watching our children how to handle mistakes and rejection. They learn to walk and run and even ride a bike, by picking themselves up, dusting themselves off and moving forward until they succeed.
Something mystical must happen to the majority of people when they reach adulthood, because when I work with people they give up after one rejection or one screw up on an advertisement or a press release. OMG! How did we become so paralyzed within this invisible wall of fear? We would have never accomplished even the simplest tasks in life if we gave up that easily including walking or playing ball.
For each success in life I have achieved no matter how great or small there was always a hurtle I had to get over first. Most of the times once we reach those successes we suddenly forget every little bump along the way until someone reminisces.
Believe me, there are plenty of mistakes I have made when I felt like crawling under a rock and changing my name and address.
Let's face it, you're going to screw up sometimes. Get over it, get through it, accept it, embrace it, learn from it because it's unavoidable. Any successful person will tell you that over and over again, that's one thing every success story has in common, failure.
Cheers to all of your successes! Kelly
