A Mixing Tin (Think about the movie Cocktail--you gotta shake it!)
A Mixing Glass (Your basic 16 oz beer glass)
A strainer to go with your mixing tin (Not absolutely necessary, but it makes things much easier)
Some fancy-schmancy glassware (a drink always tastes better out of a nice glass)
Pudding Shots
Fun for your Mom get together!
* 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
* 3/4 cup milk
* 1/4 cup vodka
* 1/2 cup Irish cream
* 8 ounces extra Cool Whip
Directions
1. Mix pudding and milk until well blended.
2. Add vodka and Irish cream, mix well.
3. Fold in Cool Whip.
4. Divide into individual servings.
5. Keep in freezer.
You could use Kahlua with the Irish Cream (or instead of). Or how about Chambord with cheesecake pudding, rootbeer schnapps with vanilla pudding or whatever else your heart desires!
Momarita (aka Margarita)
1 oz. tequila (Better - Cuervo Gold or Cuervo 1800)1 oz. triple sec (Cointreau)
3 oz. Daily's Sours Mix
Float 1/2 oz Grand Marner (on top---optional)
Kosher Salt to rim glass (optional)
Fresh Lime (optional)
Fill shaker with ice and add all liquid ingredients except soda. Take a piece of lime (or dip your finger in some L/L soda) and wet the rim of the glass. Dip in the kosher salt (spread out on a small plate). Fill with ice. Place mixing glass on shaker and, well, shake. Strain the drink over the ice in your salted glass. Top with the Grand Marnier (if you want to). Garnish with a squeeze of lime, if you like.
**Frozen variety** Instead of the shaker, place the ingredients in a blender and, well, blend.
Vanilla Cake Batter
Very sweet, but yummy!
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Sugar
Fill mixing tin with ice. In the mean time, chill a martini glass by filling with ice and water. Put the vodka and juice in the mixing tin, top with mixing glass and shake. Dump the ice/water out of the martini glass. Make sure the rim of glass is moist (use some pineapple juice) and dip in sugar. Strain the drink from the tin into the glass. Yummy. But this is one of those drinks where 1 or 2 is enough...then it's really too sweet.

Cool Wine Accessories that I've found

20 Labeloff Wine Label Removers
This is just super cool. I've always tried to peel off the label of wine from a special occasion, or a wine that I particularly liked. But what a pain in the a**!! This makes is so easy. Just put the clear sticker over the label, and peel. It splits the label in half, and just takes the printed part. Then just put the sticker on some cardstock, and you have a keep sake.

Hey...here's the ingredients. How much you use depends on how much you want to make. I sometimes just make myself a glass with some leftover red wine.
Red wine (Grab a cheap jug 'o wine---it makes it better!)
Fruit (lemon, lime, orange, cherries...and anything else that tempts you)
Simple syrup (easy...1 part sugar to 1 part HOT water..so the sugar dissolves)
Orange juice (you could also use pineapple)
Lemon-Lime Soda
So, muddle the fruit (squish it up) with some simple syrup. Leave a little for garnish. Then about 2-3 parts wine, 1 part OJ, top with the Lemon lime soda. Remember, practice makes perfect. You'll figure out how you like it best!
Classic Vodka/Gin Martini

1. Chill a martini glass by filling it with water and ice
2. In mixing tin filled with ice, put 2 ounces of premium gin or vodka and just a touch of dry vermouth.
3. Shake it up (well, or stir it...but I trust James Bond)
4. Dump the ice water out of your glass, and strain your drink into the glass
5. Garnish with olives on a drink pick
Be careful - once they start going down smoothly, they can really hit you quickly!

Alcohol and Coffee go great together!
My favorite is a Nutty Irishman!

NUTTY IRISHMAN
OK, this is easy...and you get some caffeine in the process.
In a fancy-schmancy coffee mug, put 3/4 oz of Bailey's Irish Cream and 3/4 oz of Frangelico. Fill the mug with coffee, and top with whipped cream, if you like. If you want to get real fancy, you could put some colored sugar on top.

Personalized Set of Four Etched Name and Coat of Arms Coffee Mugs
Frozen Mudslide
3/4 oz vodka
3/4 oz Kahlua
3/4 oz Bailey's Irish Creme
2 scoops ice cream
Half and Half (or milk)
Put all of this stuff in a blender. Add just enough half and half to make it creamy. If you want to be fancy, put it in a large wine glass with chocolate syrup swirled around the inside of the glass.

Pomegranate Martini
3/4 cup pomegranate juice
1 oz Absolut Citron
1/2 oz Cointreau
If it is a little too much, you can add a splash of sparking water. Garnish with a lemon squeeze.
