Faith Inspired Lenses

The Rock on Which I Stand

Whether I am a complete idiot for believing in God or not Faith is what gets me through the day. It is what encourages me to have faith in humankind. Everything else I've tried leaves me empty and pointless so please just let me have ignorant bliss.

Very nice to meet you! You and I seem to have a lot of interests in common! Your crochet lenses are very nice and I will be checking more of them out!

It was nice getting to know a bit about you. :)

I've never been able to get into needlework of any kind, even though both my mom and mil were proficient. I admire them and those like you who are. I appreciate the artistry of those who are accomplished at quilting, needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Trying to do anything with stitches just makes me nervous. Guess I'm just different. I've certainly had enough help trying to learn, and did manage to make a few simple clothes. My mil rarely put her needles down except to cook.

I admire those who can do cross stitch or needlepoint and even embroidery - needs lots of patience from me.

Great getting to know you Squidoo lensography. I'm going to have to sift through your crochet lenses to see if you have any patterns of suns.

LOL definitely - but I know quite a few on squidoo who can challenge me on that title :)

Lovely list of lenses. Being a crochet crafter myself, I love reading lenses about crochet! Terrific hat you're wearing in your Intro and Avatar picture! :-)

It's been a while since I've crocheted. I should really start a new project.

You got pretty good crocheted lenses. My mom used to do them during her 'younger years' but now she more into drama series. I guess it needs more concentration. Anyway keep it up.

I love your crocheted creations. Have you thought about making learning centers to accompany unit studies on children's books?
  • ShirlW Feb 26, 2010 @ 8:38 pm | delete
I don't crochet, but love to see what others do. It amazes me that you can create such beautiful things with a hook! Love your Squidoo name! Very original.

Thanks for stopping by. I am fairly recent in my ability to create - just since 1999 - before that I knew nothing. God has truly blessed me.

I knit but struggle with crochet. I love your little green and blue flowers in the one group of pictures. They are beautiful.

awww, thanks for the lovely comment. I kind of feel the same with knitting but am learning slowly. I actually know how to knit a square as well as a hat on circulars. :) Thanks to a fabulous mama @ my sons' play group.

I love your clever online name!! My grandmother used to crochet hats, slippers, tableclothes, dolls, and tons of other stuff. She tried to teach me, but I wasn't exactly coordinated enough to make something without tangling myself up in yarn. It is a skill I greatly admire! :D

Thank you Pamela. I enjoy it thoroughly. Funny, I get lots of complements on the name but really when I came up with it I took the two things I was good at and merged them into one word. It kind of stuck and so I'm known as mwah (: on the net.
