How To Build A Successful 5LINX Home Based Business Using Offline And Online Strategies

Go to school, get a good education, find a good job, work, save and then retire. Have you heard that advice? Has it been given to you? Not only did I do everything my parents told me to do, I followed that advice to the letter, climbing the corporate latter for years until I realized it was leaning on the wrong building. I also watched many of my friends, and colleagues climb their way up the corporate ladder as well only to end up at "corporate burn-out"". It is common that people strive to be at the top of their class, study to get the highest grades in order to become attractive to hiring companies with limited positions.

However, after the initial goal is accomplished we eventually find ourselves falling into a rut. Is that you? It was where I ended up in 2007. I realized that if you make over $100k, but owe $200K, $300K or $400K you start to feel like you are on a higher broke level. After I invested so much time, and energy, I became frazzled and didn't know what to do next. Living check to check and feeling dependent on the job was stressful and the most uncomfortable feeling I have ever experienced.

If you have ever experienced corporate burn-out, you know exactly what I mean. You realize that you don't want to climb the ladder anymore, you are tired of the company politics, working late and quarterly or yearly evaluations, even if they dangle promotions and bonuses to keep you or get you motivated. Initially I stayed because I felt like I had no other choice.

The attraction of the so-called job security, the fact that I didn't want to shock my family by taking the entrepreneur route, kept me in the corner office for years. Is that you? Can you relate? If so, I totally understand why you would feel this way. The fear of the unknown is what most people are feeling. The job is all you know, especially if you have been there for a while.

"5LINX"" change all of that for me. Withing two short years I went from working 80 hours a week to working my "5LINX business"" from the comfort of my own home.

Ask yourself these questions. Write the answers down and be honest with yourself. You can't trick yourself, your subconscious already knows what you really want.

- Will you really be happy if you stay in your current job for the next 5, 10, or 20 years?
- Do you work more often then spending time with your family?
- Do you feel like you have reached your income cap, but want more?
- Do you want more time to do things like travel and adventure, or hobbies?
- Do you miss major family events due to work?
- Are you bored at work?
- Are the people at your job bringing you up - or are they bringing you down?
- Are you sick of company politics and can't stand the thought of playing in them anymore?

If you have decided, "I can't do this anymore, "I need a new plan""." It is time to talk to your family, and let them know your pain, and your desires. Your desires are what they want too, for you and them. Get them aligned with your vision by sharing what you want for all of them.

I did just that and as a result life has changed for the better. I hit one of the top positions in 5LINX in a short period of time and know now that change is good. How would you like to walk off your job in style? It can happen if you choose to work smarter instead of harder.

I was first introduced to the Direct Marketing industry when I was 23. Lured by the hype and the promise to make millions and be significant in society. I was willing to do everything and anything it takes. It was just a matter of time until it became clear that very few people ever achieve financial freedom without self-development and distinguishing themselves as a leader first. I found this out the hard way after following everything my uplines told me. After failing miserably with that company, I decided to focus on using my civil engineering degree and getting my MBA in finance.

July 2003

In July '03 I was working on an internship in Real Estate Finance for my graduate school program in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, but realized that that the journey in commercial real estate was going to be a long one. Every real estate professional I came in contact with told me to get into sales! "To be a major player in this industry you either have capital or access to capital" and "You will make companies millions while working on their projects" were consistent comments from my mentors, which motivated me to keep looking at Direct Marketing as a way out. I thought I found it with the second company I joined. This is where I began to love the industry. I had a lot of success and grew a pretty large team using the traditional methods that were being taught. However, the law of attrition showed up in my business and although I knew I could recruit but it was hard to create duplication, thus pushing me back into Corporate America.

May 2007

After developing a successful career in real estate development and consulting and earning six figures, I started to realize I was simply on a higher broke level, working just to pay my bills. It was then I began looking at the industry again, but this time using a more business-like approach. Deciding against Corporate America was actually an easy decision for me because family, friends and lifestyle are of my highest priorities. I also knew that I wanted to be 100% in control of my time, my income, and my life. So I traded my College MBA (Master in Business Administration) for a Direct Marketing MBA (Massive Bank Account), putting my degrees in nice frames and hanging them on my wall and they have been there ever since.

My first two experiences in the direct marketing industry were a nightmare. I had NO idea what I was doing. I didn't even know how valuable creating systems meant. During that time I embraced personal development. I learned from every self-made millionaire I could find. I read numerous books, attended teleconferences and enrolled into Toastmasters to become a better person. And I was starting to learn how to attract things that I wanted to my life. I am now a Senior Vice President with 5LINX Enterprises. These results are real. I am real a real person and this is my story. I learned from those who had laid the path before me, ie PSVP Steve Carter and PSVP Andre Maronian. I implemented what they taught me. And here I am today.
