There are several ways a person can earn money online. In my opinion, creating and sharing digital content online is one of the quickest and easiest way to make money online.

Digital content includes text articles, videos, slides, graphics, pictures, photos and other works that you create online. All these content has value and can in one way or another help you make money online.

This page explores and reveals the different sites and ways anyone can use to make money online creating and submitting content and using them effectively for long term profitability.

Working with DevHub 

DevHub is a brand new free online content publishing platform that has really impressed me. Like Squidoo and Hubpages, you build sites on DevHub using modules. But DevHub goes one step further. Instead of just building a single page, you can create complete websites within DevHub and even host your domain names with them.

DevHub has many modules available to build a great website. Some of the modules include text, pictures, RSS, widgets, money making modules (CPC and products), social bookmarking and video modules.

You can earn money with DevHub by adding the money making modules on your created content sites. It is a revenue sharing system where they will share the profits from your content pages with you. You can also earn more by referring new members to join.

monetizing your content with pageviews

You can submit your contents in the form of articles, videos, presentations and audio files to Bukisa and make money with them. Bukisa pays you on the number of pageviews your content generates.

The more content you have on Bukisa and the more views they receive, the more money you will make with your content on Bukisa. There is no action required from the viewers in the form of clicks or votes. You are paid on pageviews and not clicks.

Your digital content will produce you royalty based on pageviews daily forever. This is an excellent way to quickly monetize your digital content with the least effort.

Working with eHow 

writing how-to articles

eHow is another popular venue where you can submit your "how to" articles and generate an income from your content.

Simply register with eHow, opt in to the Writer Compensation Program, submit your articles and start earning money. Payments are made monthly through PayPal and are generally based on the traffic the article receives and the quality of the content.

Associated Content 

monetizing your content with pageviews

Associated Content pays you for the number of pageviews your approved content submitted with them generates. On an average you get paid US $1.50 per thousand page views.

This pay amount can increase in the form of bonuses depending on your clout level. Once your clout level exceeds a level 6 you earn an additional bonus. The clout level maxes out at US $2.00.

Associated Content offers added bonuses in "Calls for Content". This is where they will pay you a fixed amount for your articles.

Making Money with Google AdSense 

I am sure by now that everyone and their mother have heard about Google Adsense. Thousands of people are earning passive income with their content through Google Adsense.

If you have a website or blog, you can apply to join the program. Once you are approved as a publisher, you will be given a special code (customizable to fit your site colors and layout) which you need to place on your pages and blog. This code will display relevant Google advertisements on your sites and you get paid when a visitor to your site clicks on an ad.

The program is absolutely free to join and many top publishers earn several thousand dollars monthly with Adsense. Each time a visitor clicks on an Adsense ad on your website, you can earn anywhere from 1 cent to a few dollars depending on the value of each ad. The value of ads are not known and Google determines how much you earn per ad clicks on your website.

Blogging 

Running a blog is one of the easiest ways to publish your content online by yourself. You run the blog by your own terms in choosing the layout, color schemes, blog topic and the ways you wish to make money with your blog. There are few limitations posed on you when you run your own blogs.

Making a blog post (creating content) is easy and you do not have word amount restriction like you have on other publishing websites. You also own the rights to all your content and you can write on topics that other sites might not accept.

There are also no restrictions on the different ways you can monetize your content through your own blogs. You can make money through affiliate programs, paid reviews, selling ad space, Google Adsense, money making widgets and more with your blogs.

Lots of people write articles and create lots of other content to promote products and services to earn commissions. I too do this with a lot of companies and use several media types to promote all sorts of products for commissions.

You can use your sites and blogs to promote affiliate products in your articles, insert banners or give a review and recommendation to sell the products. You can even write articles and submit them to article directories and other content platforms promoting your affiliate products and services.

Doing affiliate marketing can be very profitable and it costs nothing to get started. If and when you make a referral sale, you get paid a commission.

Content and Selling Advertisement Space 

You can sell advertisement spaces either at a fixed rate or per impression on your websites and blogs. If you already have lots of content and traffic to your sites then it will be quite easy to sell advertisement space on those sites. If your site has high PageRank that will also give it more value.

You can either contact advertisers yourself and broker a deal to place their advertisement on your site or go through and online advertising ad agency like Performancing Ads to help you find advertisers.

Creating Ebooks

Sometimes it is best to take all your content of the same topic and combine them into an ebook. Ebooks have value if they are original and you can easily sell them for a few dollars each.

Monetize Your Content with HubPages 

Adsense Sharing and Built-in Affiliate Programs

Hubpages is a content creation platform where you can join for free and create hubs (one page websites) on any topic and make money with them.

You create each hubs by using several modules such as text modules, video modules, amazon module, comments and poll modules.

Creating hubs is a fun and simple process and your hubs can make you money via Google Adsense, Amazon and eBay Affiliate Programs and also through Kontera.

Monetizing Your Graphic Content 

Sell your designs on products

Even graphics that you design or photos that you take can make you money online. Just digitize your work (scan them onto your computer) and you are ready to go. If you are already taking digital pictures and designing graphics on your computer that's even better.

You can sell these images online at various places or use them in designing fun and cool products such as bags, caps, shirts, mouse pads and a lot more products that are in demand and can put money in your pocket.

Sites like Zazzle and CafePress allows anyone to use their original graphics to design over a dozen unique products and create an online store for free. Put your graphics on a jersey or a bumper sticker and promote your store and design. You can set the prices you want to sell your items for. They will print your graphics on your customers selected products and ship it out to them and give you royalties and bonuses for your work and designs. They handle all the production, inventory, mailing and customer care. Your job is to create good graphics, put them on a variety of products and promote your store.

Creating Lenses on Squidoo

Squidoo is one of my favorite venues to profit from with my articles. I love using Squidoo and this page that you are reading itself is created, hosted and generating income for me on Squidoo.

Squidoo provides an easy to use content creation platform where anybody can create lenses (one page look on a specific topic) on any topic they desire. Squidoo provides lots of different modules that you can use to spice up, create interactivity and profitability with your lenses.

Squidoo lenses are more flexible and powerful than Hubpages. You have much more options and earning possibility with Squidoo.

You can create text, video and photo contents on Squidoo and get a share of revenue based on your lens performance. You can also add money-making modules such as Zazzle, CafePress, eBay and Amazon and earn half the revenues Squidoo makes from the sales of items sold through your lenses. Additionally, you can earn even more by promoting and selling third-party affiliate products on your lenses.

Creating Squidoo lenses is not just profitable but they are fun too. Give it a try and you too will fall in love with this place and admire the lensmasters (webmasters) that do amazing work here.

Original and Unique Content are the best!

Any digital content that you have personally created have more value and can generate more income for you.

There will be only one copy of that content and that is yours. Copying other's content and republishing them because the more versions that are available online the less value they have for the viewers and the search engines.

Search engines will also penalize you by ranking you poorly if they see copied content on your site.

So be original & unique with your content!
