This is like a mini ebook on how to buy and sell on eBay

You have probably seen this ad everywhere. This is eBays latest and it actually rings pretty true. I have yet to not find a product or something very similar to what I was looking for on eBay. Here I will give short tutorial on how eBay works for both Buyers and Sellers.

I have been a powerseller on eBay for 5 years now. What that means is I do a certain amount of business dollar wise and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. I say this not to brag, There are many who make more and do more on eBay then me. I am always learning but figure this might help some people get started.

Ok, Lets start with some simple tips and tricks for buying. Some of this may seem like common sense but remember that commone sense is relative here. As big as eBay is not everyone has been there and some are still hesitant. For every hundred good stories there is one bad and that is all it takes to keep people away.

With that said, the first thing you will need is an eBay account, get one here www.ebay.com

It's Free to join and the only way you will be able to bid and buy.

One of the most popular things to do seems to be search for mis spelled auctions. People will try to sell you these tools on ebay but you can find Free ones just by doing a google search. Here is an example of one site http://www.bargainchecker.com

Another way to find something at a good price is look at all items relating to what you are after. A great example would be I was looking at a Lord of the Rings Fossil watch that sold for $100.00. I stumbled across an auction simply titled Lord of the Rings memorabilia. I checked it out and found the watch packaged with the extended version of the first movie. I won the item at $55.00 and since I already had the dvd set sold that for $35.00.The $100.00 watch cost me $20.00. Got to love that.

Another great way to get a low bid price is find an auction ending at an odd hour. Sunday afternoon in the summertime, not the best time to sell something. Most people are busy with the family. If you are a night owl see what is selling just before you go to bed but do remember eBay is worldwide.someone is just getting home from work somewhere in the world so its not always a gimme.

A word of caution about bidding. It can be like gambling. You lose so you get competitive. You then bid more then you wanted to.This can get dangerous and happens all the time. Especially on something you really want and had a hard time finding. Set your max and keep to it. You will surely get another chance at a similar item later down the road. Just be patient.

Also be sure to include the cost of shipping in your max. remember an item that costs $49.99 still needs to be shipped. If it is big item shipping is expensive. If you are not sure of the shipping ask the seller a question through the auction. Be sure to give the seller time to answer but never bid if you are unsure.

Most sellers keep shipping fair but watch for the $1.99 item that ships for $20.00 . although eBay does state that a seller cannot charge overly high shipping if it is listed at that price you have no right to really complain. Again , move on to another seller or item

The last thing I will touch on is feedback. Feedback is how buyers and sellers rate each other and how you can tell if a seller is honest or not. Always check the feedback but remember you can't make everyone happy. eBay now has a percentage next to the number. I generally will not buy from anyone less then 99%. My personal is 99.5 % . When leaving feedback if the transaction went well be sure to leave a positive. If there was a problem , and I can not stress this enough, Try to contact the seller FIRST. Many new people jump the gun and leave a bad feedback before giving the seller a chance to rectify the situation. Most sellers will work with you as they value there feedback. If a problem can't be resolved then you should by all means leave a negative.

Thats all for buying right now. I may add more.

Now for selling on eBay

This will be a very basic tutorial on selling. This is NOT going to tell you how to get rich on eBay. You will get some basic ideas on things to do to get started selling on eBay. Ok Lets get started

First you will need to sign up for eBayIf you plan on selling you will need to give them some payment information also as there are fees associated with selling. You will also want to sign up for PayPal . Paypal is the easiest way to accept instant payments and is without a doubt the biggest, most well know and most trusted with buyers. You can sell without Paypal but you will miss out on a lot of bids. People who buy generally want " IT " as soon as possible. Waiting for the mail to get you a check or money order can take too long for the impatient type. I personally do not buy unless it is through Paypal. It just make life easier. Paypal is also FREE to join.Click here--->PayPal and sign up today.

So you now have an eBay and Paypal account, what next?

Start selling !! All you have to do is click on the SELL button next to the eBay logo. You just follow the directions from there.

The best way to get started is to sell some stuff you might want to get rid of around the house. This beats a Yard sale by a long shot. Why waist a beautiful weekend day haggling with someone over pennies on something. Instead let people actually compete to PAY YOU MORE MONEY for that same item. Something that might sell for say $1.00 at a yard sale can easily be bid up to $10.00 or more on eBay. You can literally market that same item to the whole world as opposed to your town. 10 items at that price difference means either $10.00 at a yrd sale or $100.00 on eBay.

When selling items on eBay another important tool is a digital camera. People will want to see a picture of the item. If you need a digital camera go here--->TigerDirect, Buy Today, Ships Today! . You can get a great camera at a great price as well as some other fun Electronic items.

After you have gotten your feet wet by selling some of your own stuff you may get the itch to sell other items on eBay . There are tons of places to find items to sell. You can actually search for Wholesale items on www.ebay.comCheck for items in bulk. I have made some great deals buying through eBay in bulk and then selling individually.

Another great place to get products is Wholesale Products for eBay. They have the best selection at the best prices. They also have a great video tutorial to help you sell there products and even dropship. If you want to take it to the next level Wholesale Products for eBay is the place to start.

How To Find A Legit Wholesaler

The truth may surprise you

One of the biggest hurdles in starting your own eBay business is finding a legit wholesaler. The web and even eBay itself is filled with people claiming to be wholesalers when in truth they are nothing more then middle men. From the outside you may see better prices then you pay on retail but there is still somoen else making a profit just for being the middle man. Do a search on the web and you will also get all sorts of directories that are basically crap. Sure their price may seem good at first but then you will suddenly find someone on eBay or somewhere else selling the same product for the price you paid. So how are you going to compete with that? You need to get a real whholesaler, direct from the manufacturer. Check out the video through the link before and learn all the tricks and truths about finding a real wholesaler and starting your eBay business in the right direction.

Shipping for eBay Sellers part 1

Some Simple tips to make life a bit Easier

Shipping is a touchy subject with eBay buyers and sellers.

Lets start with Seller tips

First thing I would suggest is ship internationally. Unless you are selling something you think may be a problem when leaving the country remember that shipping internationally only makes your target audience larger. Some items that you or I may take for granted are very hard to find in other parts of the world. Its not hard to ship outside the US. You just have to fill out a customs form and you are good. Always use USPS for international shipping as it is the cheapest way to go and even though your buyer pays the way it can effect weather you have a buyer or not.

Always mark the item as a gift, it is something most will ask as they are charged tax on imported items and it is less for gifts. remember the less they have to pay in tax the higher they will bid

You do need to be aware of restrictions for size when shipping outside the country so if the item is pretty big check with you local post office first.

For domestic shipping I would reccomend USPS for smaller items and you can use fedex or ups for larger.
One quick tip for shipping USPS, always try to ship priority. the customer gets the package in 2-3 days which they love. The real advantage is you can order free boxes right from www.usps.com. You will not pay a dime and can get all different sizes. you can also tape 2 together to make bigger boxes. If you ask nice you may even be able to get a free roll of priority tape from your local post office. Now your shipping supplies are basically FREE. Check the prices on boxes and tape,I just saved you a nice penny ;)

Now for a great packing trick to save you some money too. When you go shopping get the plastic bags, double bag everything. These make for great packing( unless you had raw food in them, dry goods only)Plastic bags are light weight, which saves on the shipping price, and very flexible. They work great, better then newspaperor those peanuts that get everywhere. If you have a large space to fill try putting a smaller empty box in to take up space ( free small priority box) again it is mostly air so it will not weigh the package down but it will keep eveything in place. Keep checking back for part 2 and buyers tips.

Also feel free to rate my lense.
until the next update

The Advantages Of Dropshipping

Sell Products Without Having To Store Them

One of the biggest problems for people who want to start a business on eBay is, what to do after you set up your account? Where do you find items to sell? Where do you store these items? And most importantly, how do I profit from these items.

The easiest way to start without a doubt would be with dropshipping. One of the best tools to learn about dropshipping and all other aspects of ebay is the eBay for Dummies auction success kit. This kit has everything, soup to nuts in it and the best part is you can get it for FREE. All you pay is $1.97 shipping charge which is pretty good. If you want to get started making some extra cash on eBay really fast without fumbling around and learning things the hard way like I did check out this kit.
