A blog is a great way to share your knowledge, opinions, and experiences with others. Blogging can be fun and addicting! But did you know there are many ways to make money with your blog site? Check out these tips for tweaking your blog or website so you can start making money doing what you love.

The easiest and most popular way to make money with your blog is by adding Google AdSense to your site. Google AdSense is a pay per click business that pays you money when people click on the ads in your blog or website. Sign up for Google ASsense and place ads on your site as described in the directions (very easy). You can move ads anywhere you choose to optimize your sites money making performance.

BidVertiser is another pay per click company that offers payment when users click on your ads. However, you can also make money with BidVertiser by making referrals, adding ads to your eBay account, or recommend it to your friends and make money when they do referrals. Just sign up with BidVertiser and place their ads on your blog or website. It's easy and you can track your earnings on their website.

Make money with your blog by adding Tweet My Blog. Tweet My Blog is a Twitter plug-in that advertises ways to increase traffic to your blog or website. Members make money with their blog by promoting Tweet My Blog and adding it to their site for others to click on and view. Money can also be made by recommending it to friends and getting referrals.

Another great way to make money with your blog or website is by signing up for affiliate programs. Affiliate programs are much like pay per click where you sign up to have an ad placed on your blog site, but with affiliate programs, you get paid a commission every time someone purchases an item through your site based on that ad, not by clicking on the ad. There are many affiliate programs available. Ebay, Amazon, and Yahoo all offer affiliate programs, along with others.

Advertise your photography, scrap booking, or anything else you could do online, sell yourself in your blog! Tell people that you are for hire and willing to work for them to help their business grow. Or, maybe you are in business for yourself and your blog is based on your company. Tell others who you are and what services you are selling. With enough fan base, you can really make some good money by offering your services to others through your own blog or website ads.

Helpful Tips:

* Check out other people's blogs and add them as friends to get tips and hints on how to monetize your blog or website...this also gets your blog noticed and increases traffic.

* Try one or two ads at first just to test your blog's money making ability...this way, you don't have to move too much around and you can add things as you like.

* Make sure your blog is well written and about something that other's will want to look at...it has to be interesting to get noticed.

* Don't get frustrated if you aren't making tons of money right away with your blog...making money takes time as you build your blog and public image.

Coming Up with Content for Your Blog

type=text

So you have come up with a great blog and maybe you've been writing for awhile...or maybe...you're just beginning. Coming up with ideas to write on your blog can be a difficult task. The best way to keep your blog up to date is to write at least once a week, if not a couple times a week. Sometimes, however, you may feel a writing block and need some help coming up with ideas. Here's a few tricks to try.

Think about the concept of your blog and what may interest other people. If your blog is about making money, try coming up with a list of ways for others to make money, including websites and step by step instructions. Not all blog entries have to be in story format. Sometimes, just a link to another site helps others enjoy your blog post. When in doubt of something to write, send your readers to another place.

Search the internet. Type in tags (words of interest) from your blog and find ideas on the internet. If your blog is about sewing...type the word "sewing" under Google or Yahoo and see what comes up. You may just find a new idea you hadn't thought of that will get your creative juices flowing. Remember never to steal someone else's idea, but it is okay to get inspired from others. Play around on a few search engines and see what you can come up with for your own blog post.

There are many websites that offer free content for blogs. When you are having trouble coming up with your own ideas, check out a website that offers free information. Check the resource list below for a few sites that help or type in "free blog content" or "free articles for my blog" under a major search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Even if you don't find an article you can use, you will definitely be able to find new ideas to help you get writing your own post.

When all else fails, contact fellow bloggers. All bloggers have had the trouble you are in trying to come up with new content. It's a lot of pressure to write consistently all the time and every blogger knows it. Try asking advice from another blogger or have them look at your page and help you come up with a new concept. Offer the same in return or some publicity for their site to repay the favor. You can always post a link from their blog on yours for payment for helping you out.

Helpful Tips:

* Make a list of things that could interest your readers...sometimes walking away from the computer and using a good old fashioned pen and paper can clear your mind.

* Find pictures that relate to your blog...pictures can get your writing skills started again and can add a nice view to your page.

* Don't get frustrated and give up blogging...writers block happens to EVERYONE at some point.

* Don't steal ideas if you can't come up with your own...it's not fair to fellow bloggers and you can get into a lot of trouble if caught.

Increasing Traffic to Your Blog

type=text

Starting a blog and writing articles for sites such as eHow, Associated Content, and Bukisa...etc., are great ways to make an extra income online. But how do you get traffic to your content so that you can make the money? Using these simple tricks, you can put your content out there and instantly increase your traffic for greater money making profit.

Be sure your blog or articles use keywords that are searched often. Search Google or Yahoo to see what types of things interest people most. What is being searched on the internet and what words are being used in those websites to pull traffic into the site? For example, say the biggest concept being searched right now is 'applying for unemployment'. Try writing an article about this, either how to do it, or placing something on your blog about our struggling economy. Be sure to use the word, 'unemployment' often in your article. This will place it high in the search engines for people to see quickly.

Submit your blog or article to various search engines for people to find easily. Google has a great place to 'submit your URL'. Just go to Google Add URL to add your site or article to Google's search engine. You can also add any article or blog to a search engine by searching the words 'submit your URL' under all the search engines. Most places have a spot to add your URL. This increases traffic quickly and will get your blog or article listed on the search engines top pages. Just be sure your blog or article is well written with little error because the search engines such as Yahoo and Google will not always accept all submissions.

You can also submit your blog or article to the URL Web Directory which includes some of the top searched content on the web. Just go to URL Web Directory to submit your site for increased traffic. You can also search their site to find out the top searched articles, blogs, and other content so that you can get a better idea of what is hot right now. This may help you to add the appropriate content to your site for driving more traffic to your information.

Add your blog or articles to sites such as digg.com, twitter.com, mybloglog.com, and other social networking sites. The more social networking sites you submit to, the better. Get your friends involved too by utilizing Facebook and Myspace. Sometimes known connections are best for getting your content out there and noticed. Friends can pass your blog or articles onto others and before you know it, you have a whole social community viewing your information and telling more and more people. Hint: the more friends you make and help out, the more people will be viewing your content. This will greatly increase traffic to your blog or articles.

Add your site or articles as a signature to almost everything you do on the internet. Make your statement and get noticed by signing everything with your site's address. Put your information in all places you can think of. When you send emails, sign with your blog address or article writing site such as your eHow profile or Bukisa profile. Sign with these on Facebook or Myspace and even add them to any business you do online such as purchasing orders (if possible). Anytime you can get the word out about your blog or articles, do it. Think constantly about increasing traffic and see how creative you can be with your internet signature.
