Do you have a safe in your home?
I have always wanted a fireproof safe just for scrapbooks and family items. But I wondered, do many people really have a safe in their home? And if so, why?
What is your reason for buying a safe? Have you always had a safe in your home? Why is a home safe better than a safety deposit box for family papers?
I have more questions than answers. I hope you will participate in the poll below. And thank you!

Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes, Yes! You must have a safe!
Margo_Arrowsmith says:
Well, for fires, yes, but the things that I really love would
1. Never fit in a safe
2. Be lost to enjoying them daily.
Its a good idea, for people who keep a lot of papers at home.
Bottom line is that the people who say they are going to buy one bust need them and therefore should buy one! And from you!

A home safe is not necessary at all.
ElizabethJeanAllen says:
My scrap books and photo albums would never fit. My good jewelry is in the safety deposit box along with most of our important papers. I don't think it would hurt to have one but I don't think it's necessary. A safe wouldn't stop a determined thief.

- Exactly, Margo. That is what I keep thinking. Scrapbooks, especially the very old ones, photographs and videos of the family, important family papers, passports, birth certificates, auto titles, all that stuff. We have seriously talked about this for years, but have not yet done it. Maybe the time has come!

- Actually they would be good for the CD;s that hold my pictures, but I wouldn't want to put the pictures or art work in them because then I couldn't enjoy them.
Of course, it they are airproof they might be good for a jewelry box for my silver!
