Squidoo allows you not only to write articles but to create whole web pages, called "lenses," using different modules. You can share links, include YouTube videos, add polls and quizzes, share Amazon products, and more. There are numerous ways to make money with your Squidoo lenses.

First, Squidoo pays a percentage of their ad revenue to users based upon the "lensrank" of their lenses. There are three tiers and users get paid a different percentage of the revenue based upon which tier their lenses are in. Tier 1 lenses are lenses with a lens rank of 2,000 or higher. Tier 2 lenses are lenses with a lensrank of 2,001-10,000. Tier 2 lenses are lenses with a lensrank of 10,001-85,000. Tier 1 lenses are paid more than Tier 2 lenses which are paid more than Tier 3 lenses.

Sales
Squidoo also shares the revenue earned from your specific lenses through profitable modules. For example, if you feature an item through one of the numerous Amazon modules and a reader purchases that item (or any item from Amazon using the link on your Squidoo page), Squidoo will share with you half of the commission they earn through the Amazon Associates program. This is also true for other profitable modules such as the iTunes module.

Affiliate Sales
You can also use Squidoo to sell and feature products for which you earn an affiliate commission such as products from Zazzle, AllPosters, or Clickbank.

Referrals
Squidoo will also pay you $5 for each of your referrals. You are paid the $5 once a referral earns $15 through Squidoo.

InfoBarrel is a site where you can earn money for writing articles. You can make money writing for InfoBarrel because your Google Adsense, Amazon Associates, and Chikita IDs are inserted into 75% of the impressions of your articles. By writing articles and competing in contests you can earn more points to increase the amount by which your IDs are inserted into the ads to 90% of the impressions on your articles. You can also earn money through InfoBarrel by referring other writers. InfoBarrel will insert your ad IDs into 2% of your referrals' impressions.

Bukisa is a paid to write site that allows you to earn through Google Adsense. Essentially, your Google Adsense ID is used for ads on your articles 60% of the time and Bukisa's ID is used the other 40%. If you don't have or like Adsense, you have the option of using Chikita instead. Your Google Adsense ID is also inserted into a percentage of the articles written by any writers you refer to Bukisa as well. You can write both regular articles and specially formatted "How To" articles for Bukisa.

Hubpages
Hubpages is very similar to Squidoo in that you build web pages (called hubs) not just write articles. Hubpages also offers modules similar to Squidoo. (However, Squidoo has many more modules than Hubpages.)

Hubpage Ad Program
Hubpages offers an Ad Program in which they share a percentage of the ad revenue generated from their premium ad partners. This allows "hubbers" (the term for those who create hubs at Hubpages) to have high quality ads that would otherwise not be offered to small publishers. Hubpages and each individual hubber share in the revenue generated from these premium ads on each individual hub.

Adsense
Hubbers can link their Adsense ID to their Hubpages account and 60% of the time Hubpages will include your Adsense ID is Adsense ads on your hubs and the other 40% of the time it will be the Hubpages Adsense ID.

Amazon Associates Program
If you are a member of the Amazon Associates Program (and if you aren't, you should be!), you can link your Amazon Associates ID to your Hubpage account and just like with Adsense, Hubpages will alternate between your ID and their ID.

eBay Partner Network
If you are a member of the eBay Partner Network, Hubpages will share revenue earned from eBay commission with you just as they do with Adsense and Amazon (alternating your affiliate ID with theirs).

Referrals
If you refer other writers to Hubpages, you will earn 10% of the advertising impressions from your referrals' hubs.

Yahoo! Contributor Network was formerly known as Associated Content. You get paid to write for Yahoo! Contributor Network through upfront payments and performance payments.


Upfront Payments
Yahoo! Contributor Network pays writers upfront payments of $1-$20 per article. That essentially means that upon submission of your articles, Yahoo! Contributor Network will evaluate the quality of your article and pay you $1-$20 just for submitting the article to the site. Sometimes they will also have offers to write articles on a certain topic for a specific, predetermined upfront payment.

Performance Payments
Yahoo! Contributor Network also pays writers performance payments of $1 to $2 per 1,000 views. Therefore, for every 1,000 views your articles receive you will receive $1 -$2. This is a great form of passive income. How much you earn per 1,000 views is determined by your clout level.

Wizzley is another site like Squidoo or Hubpages. In fact, Wizzley was started by a few prominent lensmasters from Squidoo. Similar to Squidoo and Hubpages, Wizzley has several modules that can customize your pages and earn revenue. Your Adsense and Amazon Affiliate IDs are used 50-60% of the time on your Wizzley pages depending upon the number of pages you have created. You can also earn revenue on Wizzley through affiliate programs such as AllPosters and Zazzle. You will also earn money based upon the writers you refer to Wizzley. Your affiliate IDs will shows up on 10% of the impressions to your referrals' pages.

Another great way to make money writing is to set up your own blog. You can blog about a particular niche you have an interest in or anything you want. You can earn revenue through your blog through Adsense ads, Chitika ads, Kontera ads, by promoting Amazon products using Amazon Associates, or by promoting other items using affiliate programs such as Clickbank, AllPosters, Zazzle, or Commission Junction.

MyLot is an online forum that is a great way to earn some extra money. Basically, MyLot is a paid to post program. MyLot pays its members to participate in the forum or complete tasks on the site.
