PARADIGM: NIGERIA takes the 1st PLACE on the HAPPINESS scale!!!

FIND THE ANSWER TO WHY WE ARE NEVER SATISFIED!

'The researchers for World Values Survey described the desire for material goods as "a happiness suppressant".'
(Nigeria tops happiness survey - news archive)

We can find example of this phenomenon in our everyday life:
As when we are extremely HUNGRY and finally are about to taste extraordinary dish.

The first bite gives the most PLEASURE,
but with consecutive ones as we become less and less hungry our SATISFACTION from the dish goes down.

And finally we feel full and in case we will continue to eat we will feel PAIN since our desire is fulfilled.

Same is applicable to other desires as well like FASHION or MONEY.

From the above we can conclude that we receive PLEASURE only temporary, while our desire is being fulfilled. And as soon as that desire is satisfied we feel empty again and are looking for next fulfillments and so on.

Wisdom of Kabbalah (study of reception) teaches how we can receive endlessly.

DEVELOPMENT OF DESIRES

Learn the 4 stages desires evolve through

We as a civilization came a long way starting from basic desires for food, family, sex and shelter.

Then as our egoism continued to grow we reached the stage of desiring wealth.

The next stage was a desire for power and honor.

Finally, a couple of centuries ago we reached the stage of desiring knowledge.

An ancient wisdom tells us that the next desire humanity will have is a desire for spirituality.

This final desire comes from modern society's inability to find satisfaction in the previous stages of desires.

I think people see money as happiness but it will not fill the desires that they have. I wonder how we could go back to a simpler time when the world was not so "fast" great lens!
