    Very good info! It is hard to make commissions anyways on squidoo especially when you are trying to promote your own business. This is what causes the conflict for me and haven't really found a solution other than focus on building nice lenses and hoping people visit my scrapbooking site.

    I published my first lens the other day but have not earned anything yet. For me, its about me being able to write things that mean something to me and geting a few quid would be a bonus :) I enjoyed reading this lens as it was informative and taught me a few things I did not know before,like who you can get commissions through, thank you :)

    I'll let you know! Since I'm new here, and haven't been through a pay cycle yet, I can only tell you how great it feels when sales start showing up! Maybe better than the actual money! It's great that Squidoo tells you immediately when a sale has been made, what it was, and how much it's worth to you!!!

    I joined 9 days ago and have only had the time to do one lens because of family and holiday planning, but I look forward to adding more lenses soon. I really like what I see with the revenue generating opportunities available. I have some articles (lenses) in mind that I am anxious to get posted, but I have to make certain they are good quality first. I'm somewhat picky as far as my own writings go. I want them to be entertaining and useful. Thanks for the Squidoo opportunity and have a great day.

    Sguidoo very helpful at all .... although I just follow it and not get anything but from what is reflected in the explanation of the workings of sguidoo seen this much will help the people who try them find additional revenue in the current world economic crisis ...     Had to also comment - love the picture of the kid and the cash - it's all in the family for us at Squidoo too. I think it's amazing; my eight year old has an income that she can influence as to how much. With the fall of the US economy, I can see how Squidoo will become a livelihood for many - our family has been surviving on self-employment income for years - and it took only 10 months on Squidoo to begin, as a family, to make enough money to buy groceries, to pay bills, to pay part of the rent. I highly recommend it to anyone who can use a word processor. It's a simple and honest way to make money when used as intended.

    Now this is a plus point for all web publishers. Online business is an enormous industry. Needless to say Squidoo is another avenue for revenue.

    Always good to review. It's very nice that Amazon and eBay modules earn us commission, as they integrate so nicely, in a specific way, through the Squidoo story we are telling. Sure would be nice if Etsy would join Squidoo as an affiliate, as I love using Etsy shop examples in my crafting stories.

    This really has great possibilities for everyone who loves to write. Yes you can donate to charities through the company but if you're like me and have a couple that are near to your heart you can take the money and donte under your own steam. What a great find/opportunity!

    How much? A lot! But I'm still at the beginning..... and still haven't earnt money. Actually, I'd like to get money, even one cent, from my lens, because it would pay off my "bad conscience": in that case, spending time on squidoo would be "work", not "fun"!!!! ;)

    Actually, I do not earn much money on Squidoo. I use Amazon and e-bay providing they have some items related to my lenses content. Squidoo is not a revenue source for me. I use it to read other people's thoughts and I have found amazing and innovative ideas in some lenses as well as a wealth of information that would be much harder to be found on the web. I enjoy making creative lenses and communicating or commenting on them with other lens makers that share the same interests as me.
    Of course, earning money while doing an enjoyable activity like a hobby is lovely too!

    Nice touch as most money making sites don't mention charities & I would wager a small bet that many more people would get involved if only they knew how they could easily harness the internet to raise awareness & funds for their chosen charities..!

    How do I love thee (making money on Squidoo) ... let me count the ways!

    Oh Amazon, thy tiny 14 cent commission from selling a single purple bead thrills my heart, for that lens hath a very low lens rank.

    Oh eBay, your slightly larger commissions used to make me laugh when I'd see something weird purchased that had nothing to do with my lens.

    Oh Zazzle and Etsy, how I wish I'd realized you don't pay commissions ... I might not have worked so diligently showcasing work I just enjoyed. Nay, forsooth & verily I'd have showcased it anyway for my love of earning money on Squidoo pales in comparison to my joy of having a platform for expression.

    I've definitely had the best luck with the Amazon and Ebay modules. Ebay can be a big money maker if done correctly!

    O.k. it's good to make money on Squidoo (or anywhere else) but for me ( and many others I suppose) this is not the first priority. There are so many other benefits from this mutual relationship (Squidoo - lensmasters) that these little extra money seems to me pointless (even if I need some extra money and who doesn't?) Anyway, I have to go now to check my dashboard for "that lovely blue note" !!! (It's the first time)

    Great explanation. My income from Squidoo has increased as the number of my lenses has increased from 20 to 81. Don't know yet how much becoming a Giant Squid will help because of the 2 month wait. :)

    Thanks, this clears things up. Pity though that zazzle doesn't allow us to earn commissions. They do such a good job (better than cafepress) of showing off the work of their people.
