Chronic mononucleosis sufferers know how debilitating it can be. For some, it can go on for years and years! Finally there is a treatment that works!

An Australian Naturopath has unlocked the secret cures of mononucleosis.

Check out all the free information available at her site Mononucleosis Treatments and Cures.

Who Gets Mononucleosis?

Essentially the answer to that is - ANYONE!
Mononucleosis, caused by the Epstein Barr Virus, is very common. Interestingly, many people aged above 30 will already have antibodies in their system against the Epstein Barr virus. Studies have shown that only 5% of people aged between 35 and 40 will NOT have been exposed to the virus and will therefore be vulnerable.

The older your age, the less likely you are to catch the virus. The risk reduces to about 1% if you are 70 or older.

It follows then, that the highest risk group are the 15 to 25 year olds. Younger children are also at risk.

What is Mononucleosis

Mononucleosis, also known as Glandular Fever or Mono, is a viral infection, caused by the Epstein Barr virus. It is very common in children and young adults worldwide.

The virus is easily and often transmitted from person to person. Quite often, the virus has no perceptible symptoms and is often mistaken for a common cold or flu. From this virus, up to 50% will then go on to develop mononucleosis

How Do You Get Mono?

One of the names coined for mono is 'the kissing disease'. As a result, young adults are often teased about catching it! THe reason it is sometimes called the kissing disease, is that Epstein Barr virus is transmitted through the saliva exchange that occurs when you kiss someone. Kissing is not the only way to pick up the virus, actually it is quite easy to get from contact with things you come across in everyday life. For example, sharing drinks or food, touching an infected item or even a simple handshake with someone who is already infected.

How long is Mononucleosis Contagious For?

Mononucleosis is quite contagious, and as mentioned above, very easily caught. So if you know someone who has it, make sure you take extra care as it can be contagious for up to eight weeks!

A percentage of sufferers will develop chronic mononucleosis. Chronic mononucleosis, can last for quite a long time, so if your symptoms persist, check with your doctor. Of course if you want to get rid of mononucleosis naturally, check out:

I have caught mono before it was painful and I think I caught it from kissing my ex who likes to drink with his buddies and smoke with them. After that I got very scraed of all the other diseases in this cruel world so I dumped him. Know I don't date smokers or drinkers I am also abstian. I almost fainted too the first time I caught it. During the time I was at a catering party I could have got it there and I ate off my baby cousin. Yuck that's why I dont let people eat off my fork! I basically hate all germs.
