There's no Halloween without a Jack o' Lantern and there's no Halloween without anyone wearing a Monster Bride Halloween costume. And not only brides wear it - every one of all ages could wear one.

The Monster Bride concept originally came from two major movies: Bride of Frankenstein (1935), the sequel to the movie, Frankenstein (which was based on Mary Shelley's book with the same title) and Bride of the Monster (1955), directed by Ed Wood who was dubbed the worst director of all timebut has somehow created a cult following. (There's even a religion named after him!) These two movies were well-received then are still well-received nowadays after so many years. They're both a cult classic.

For that reason alone the Monster Bride Halloween costume is perfect for any Halloween event - because no one would question a monster's bride!

Becoming Monster Bride this Halloween is easier than you think!

There are other films that have monster bride characters in them but nothing beats the original two. The first one is from the movie, Bride of Frankenstein. The zombie being referred to as the bride of Frankenstein doesn't exactly become the bride of "Frankenstein" (or, more accurately, the Monster that Dr. Frankenstein created.) She is to be the Monster's companion; but when she wakes up, she gets scared of the Monster. She keeps on running away from him out of fear and the monster, out of a surge of hopelessness, decides to end his life along with his supposed companion and the conspirators who wanted to give him one.

On the other hand, the woman in the film The Bride of the Monster is the reporter, Janet. She believes that the number of disappearances of people along Marsh Lake is caused by a monster but her fiancé, Lt. Dick, doesn't think so. They both investigate the case - Janet alone, and Dick, with the entire police force and a scientist. But Janet is caught by a mad scientist, living in the mansion by Marsh Lake, who has plans to create an army of super atomic humans to take over the world. When he sees Janet, he decides to turn her into a super strong and beautiful woman to be his bride - a Monster's Bride. But the mad scientist's assistant - who is taken by Janet's beauty - turns against him and tries to save Janet's life.

You can play around with your costume as you wish - you can make it as Frankenstein-like or as Ed Wood-like as you want. You can add gloves, pair it with boots or heels or a pair of spooky tights, your imagination's the limit! But the big hair with the white streaks on the side is a must-stay accessory.

Why you will have a great time at a Halloween party dressed as Monster Bride

If you want to be a beautiful zombie, then the Monster Bride is your best bet. Just make sure you know how to run away from big scary monsters trying to wed you.
