100 Rockin' Music Lenses On Squidoo
Ranked #2,443 in Squidoo Community, #214,076 overall | Donates to Squidoo Charity Fund
Squidoo lensmasters have great taste in music!
I'm pretty excited to share a list of some of the most creative music lenses on Squidoo by genre.
A couple of weeks ago I asked lensmasters to submit their best ideas for MonsterBoards. One of the first people to respond was veteran lensmaster Waxing_Lyrical. Rich is a great community leader, SquidAngel and Giant Squid who loves to write music lenses.
Together we complied a pretty interesting and diverse list of musical lenses on Squidoo. Being a huge music fan myself it was fun reading through the many musical genres that lensmasters have written about. While I am partial to 80's music I was very impressed by the great variety of 50's and country music we have on Squidoo.
Each of the lensmasters featured on this MonsterBoard will also get 100 points for writing about their musical passions. Got a favorite band or musical artist? Why not write a lens about why you love their music. Then post your music lenses on the Guestbook of this lens to share.

- My kids have introduced me to the latest Alternative rockers, and I still listen to the bands from the 70's (The Who, Led Zepplin, Springsteen). And I can't help but wonder what John Lennon would have continued to create.

Very nice lens.

- Terrific list of music lenses -- something for every interest and era! :) My favorite is 'folk music' a.k.a. The Kingston Trio (whom I saw in concert many times and 'met' in person twice) and most all the folk groups of the late '50s and early '60s.

- Amazed that you haven't any classical music represented.
"andre-rieu-the-waltz-king" is a lens about the world's most popular performer, André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra.
I would also draw your attention to my "WOMAD" lens, which is all about the world music scene.

- Thanks very much, I was very pleased to see my lens, "UK #1's of 1969 added to this collection. Even after all this time I still find that the music of my youth is still my favourite listening. I am however, just beginning to listen to newer bands and artists as I approach retirement - is it me or is the music getting better again?
