30 Duel Modules We Love

Not only is the Duel Debate Module one of the most popular on Squidoo, it's also one of the most fun. Squaring off on a topic is a really effective way to get the attention of your audience. People really do want to know what other people think about hairy men, If we should ban smoking and if cupcakes make a good breakfast. It's human nature to debate a subject.

On this Monster Board we picked 30 lenses that use the Duel Debate Module in really creative ways. Some are Hey MonkeyBrain lenses that use a special template to help you set up a debate lens. Other lenses use the module to review products like the Nook vs. the Kindle or to enhance their lens like: How do you feel about handmade Christmas ornaments?

With an added bonus: Did you know that every time someone posts in your Duel Debate Module, they have a chance to challenge one of their friends to join the debate? Adding the Duel Debate Module to any lens is a super smart way to allow your reader to participate -- and even spread the word for you.

I have used the Duel module on several lenses including a few MonkeyBrains. I must not be doing a great job phrasing questions because I do not get many responses.

    I'm seriously leaning towards the "Jump Rope Songs, Rhymes and Chants," although the others are certainly calling my name. I'm anxious to view them all.

    The best, in my opinion, was the gun control debate. Lots of info, intriguing and controversial. Debates don't get any better.

    I've always loved the Guyliner lens because the topic is just so different from any I would have thought of, but these are all terrific examples. Thanks for including mine in such great company!

    I had to read over your 30 lenses twice before I noticed my jump-rope-songs lens was among them! Thanks for including it! I have to read through them all before I could say which lens is my favorite. I've noticed several among them that I've enjoyed reading previously. Those are surely winners!

    I have missed some of the lenses, so it is great to have a collection here to visit. I am so glad Nan's was included. Love that controversy! Thanks for including two of my lenses that use the Duel Debate Module. Now off to learn more from the other lenses you have included!

    Thank you for featuring one of my lenses here. I find that the duel lens is just the thing to generate discussion, especially when you are presenting a somewhat controversial subject - like whether chilli should contain ground meat or diced steak.
