Monsters vs Aliens

When Californian girl Susan Murphy (played by Reese Witherspoon) weirdly shoots up to 49 ft 11 in, she is labelled a 'monster' and rounded up by the military to line in an institution with other monsters.

The other monsters aren't cute like she is and include Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. (that's played by Hugh Laurie), the Missing Link (by Will Arnett), B.O.B. (Seth Rogen) and Insectosaurus (don't know).

Then a UFO lands and aliens come out and want to take over the Earth. It's up to the monsters to save the world!!

Poor Susan Murphy, she makes NBA basketball players look small! She's so big she was rounded up by the army in 2008 and made to live with the other 'monsters'!

POWER: Ginormica radiates pure energy. This gives her enormous strength and it's what makes her so big. She also can't be attacked or killed with nuclear or atomic power -- she's impervious to it.

BACKGROUND: Talk about being unlucky at love, Susan Murphy was struck by a meteor at her wedding! Some strange stuff in the meteor affected her DNA and made her start to grow huge!

KILLER MOVES: Ginormica has the strength of 10,000 women and can destroy a whole city block!

This monster is called the Missing Link. He was first captured in 1961.

POWER: This guy is a SUPER strong, flexible ampibian.

WEAKNESS: Loves the ladies!

BACKGROUND: Missing Link is a fish-ape hybrid. He'd been frozen in ice for 20,000 years before scientists defrosted him!

KILLER MOVE: He's the master of the Monster Smackdown. Or he used to be when he was first thawed out!

Don't be fooled by the cute face on this greedy guts grub. This is INSECTOSAURUS and he was caught in 1969!

POWER: This dude is super-sized and can shoot silk out of his nostrils! Hey, c'mon, that's not to be sneezed at!! ;-)

BACKGROUND: Can you believe it? Insectosaurus used to be one inch long but nuclear radiation messed him up and he grew to be 350 foot long and able to munch through Japanese cities (crunch! and not the credit kind... though we ought to give him some credit... have you tried eating a building lately?)

KILLER MOVES: Er...hello? Weren't you listening? He can chomp and stomp through a whole city!

I suppose I had better introduce you to B.O.B. who was captured way back in 1958. He'll only start complaining if I don't!

Now, why is called B.O.B. you ask?

Well, if your full name was Bicarbonate Ostylezene Benzoate wouldn't you shorten it to B.O.B. too?!! Lol!

POWER: Blobby old bob is completely indestructible and made of jelly. No, not like the stuff you have at birthday parties... he's what they call gelatinous... a bit like slugs I guess.

BACKGROUND: Whoops! This is why you shouldn't genetically modify foods kids. B.O.B. was aciidentally created when a GMO tomato was mixed with a ranch-flavoured desert topping. (tell me, can you taste the cattle in ranch flavour toppings??)

KILLER MOVES: B.O.B. has an endless appetite so he'll either eat you or flatten you by mistake!

Dr.Coackroach, Ph.D has the greatest brain on Earth. It's just a shame that he's a disgusting cockroach (eeeuurrgghh, I hate cockroaches, they are so yucky and creepy!). He was captured back in 1952.

POWER: He's super, super smart and he's got an exoskeleton (that means his skeleton is on the outside of his body and all the mushy stuff is protected inside, unlike us where all the soft stuff is on the outside and dem bones are on the inside!).

BACKGROUND: Way to go Einstein! Seems Dr Cockroach became a cockroach when his teleportation experiment backfired and left his with the head of a cockroach! Plus he turned into a bit of a total maniac who wanted to take over the world!

KILLER MOVES: He's so brainy, his killer move is that he can invent anything from a pile of trash... so long as he doesn't try to eat it first! He is a cockroach after all!
