Moral Disobedience

Ever ask yourself, "What the hell are we doing?" No more of an elementary request could have been made than when the embattled Rodney King stated, "Can't we all just get along." Unfortunately the global, genocidal-like response is a resounding NO! Evidently, this nation and others have either no clue as to what our collective behavior is leading to, or simply does not care. It comes down to the eloquent pronouncement made by Dr. King several decades ago. He stated:

"Violence solves no social problems; it merely creates new and more complicated ones. Through the vistas of time a voice still cries to every potential Peter, "Put up your sword!" The shores of history are white with the bleached bones of nations and communities that failed to follow this command. If [victims of oppression] succumb to the temptation of using violence in the struggle for justice, unborn generations will live in a desolate night of bitterness and their chief legacy will be an endless reign of chaos."

This statement has proved to be a prophetic one because we are certainly immersed in what seems to be an "endless reign of chaos." All because most people want to be right and have no desire to find a common bond. Money, greed, and a lust for power are vital players in what we're seeing today. Man has created his very own Hell right here on Earth. Humankind first broached the subject of Hell in the Bible, defining it to be a place where bad people go (bad would also include, not believing in the Trinity, not tithing, and more, but that's another Lens for another day).

Truth be told, we are seeing the consequences of our bitterness and hatred toward one another over the course of the last couple millenniums, with no end in sight.

America is predominantly a Christian nation, and over the past 2,000 years, Christians have believed that Jesus will return and straighten it all out. It's highly probable that if you lived another 2,000 years, you would still be waiting. It's OK to go to church every Sunday and pray for world peace, but it's also important to roll up your sleeves and start spreading love and peace rather than being a silent partner in all the hellacious pandemonium.

We're silent partners because there was not the massive uproar that should have spawned from the fact that the American government played a central part in the international ruse of 9/11. Most Americans accept the rubbish that was handed to us by the American government as to what actually happened. Before I go any further, let me make it clear, this is not an anti-American diatribe. The facts however, become crystal clear, if you do just a little research on the events that took place on 9/11. You will definitely notice a huge "fly in the ointment."

America is its own worst enemy. Most of the wars we have been involved in, we started, and most were orchestrated for profit and control. As it should be, Americans have supported, and should continue to support our troops abroad. These are our children, our brothers, sisters, moms, and dads, therefore we wholeheartedly support them. But to label the present war, a "fight for freedom," or "protecting our liberties," or "protecting our borders" is something straight out of Dr. Zeuss. Did we forget all of a sudden that there were no "weapons of mass destruction?" Wasn't that the initial reason the war against Iraq was declared in the first place?

It's time for all Americans to step to the plate and make a positive difference. If we don't, our indifference will follow us into the next life and there will certainly be a price to pay as we learn how to love one another. What's ironic about our collective beef with one another is the fact that we will, at some point in our soul's journey toward perfection, learn how to love unconditionally. It may be in another 50 lifetimes, but learn we will. Because love is our collective mission as to why we incarnate on this planet called Earth.

Sounds bizarre, far-fetched, too "pie-in-the-sky," then consider the fact that each soul has a maturation level as some people are more mature than others. We are here to learn how to love one another and deal with karmic issues. Karmic issues that manifest because of our inability to love and progress in previous lives. We are all branches of the same tree and as the Indian proverb goes, "how foolish for branches of the same tree to fight amongst themselves," and that is exactly what we are doing.

Sorry to disappoint Christians, Muslims, and any other religious group that believes "non-believers" will burn eternally. The soul is in an eternal state of learning and growth, besides, energy does not burn, nor can it be tormented.
