Morels are a big favorite of my husband, and he got me hooked on hunting for (and eating) them while we were living back in Pennsylvania. It was always such a rush to find one, so you can imagine the thrill I got when I ducked into the woods ... um, for a pit stop ... on the Appalachian Trail and found myself in a sea of morels. I put off my intended purpose for the pit stop and instead gathered as many morels as I could fit into a large baggie I had, and, at the next town stop on the trail, I mailed them home to my husband. He dried them and, when I got home from my hike, made me the best fettucini alfredo with morels. Oh ... did I mention, great lens! Love the pictures too.

Love your lens! Used to have morels growing at my old house but was afraid to try them. I wasn't sure if they were false or not. You just helped to point out the differences. Excellent info. Thanx! Think I'll go morel hunting this spring!

I live in Northern Michigan and remember going Morel hunting with my Grandfather. This lens has brought back some wonderful memories for me. And for reminding me how important it is to get away from the computer and make a memory for my kids.

Talk to ya later... gotta go mushroom hunting with my kid.

    A Walk in the Woods
There is a new group being formed in Squidooville. It's called A Walk in the Woods. Because you have done such a nice job with your lens Whitefoot the Wood Mouse is inviting you to join him in this new venture. The exposure that your lens gets by joining will boost your lens rank and add to the number of web pages linking to your lens. Come take A Walk in the Woods.

Great page. I live in TN and have been trying to find a morel mushroom for 2 years now. I think it's the right time so I've started looking, but no luck yet. I can't find anything in TN to help me out, so I checked out this page, if you have any advice you can write me at mpowers519@msn.com
    Thanks

    Once again, great page.
