Organizations I Believe In
These are just a few causes/organizations I feel strongly about. There are plenty of worthy organizations out there, but if I don't focus I get overwhelmed!
- Peace Games
- "Peace Games empowers students to create their own safe classrooms and communities by forming partnerships with elementary schools, families and young adult volunteers." I used to work with them and still believe strongly in their mission statement.
- Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
- My family has been touched a number of times by breast cancer, so I know how devastating it can be.
- Make-a-Wish Foundation
- "Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities."

- Barbara Sher wrote a book called Refuse to Choose about people she calls "Scanners." Scanners are people who are so caught up in the process of learning that they tend to skip from one hobby/career to another because they get bored after the initial growth curve tapers off.
