Morgan Freeman, a well recognised actor in such films as Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, the critically acclaimed Shawshank Redemption and the very funny Bruce Almighty as God, starring alongside the comedy giant Jim Carrey.


He was born on the 1st of June 1937, making him a Gemini and grew up with his grandparents in Charleston, Missisipi, and spent his summers with his parents in Chicago. Born to a barber the late Morgan Porterfield Freeman who unfortunately died from liver cirrhosis in the year of 1961 and his mother Mayme Edna Revere Curtis who was a schoolteacher. Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, he is the youngest out of the four siblings in the Freeman family.


He stands at a massive 6'2", is married to Myrna Colley-Lee and is a proud father to two sons, one daughter and one step-daughter, Alphonso Freeman (son), Saifoulaye Freeman (son), Morgana Freeman (daughter) and their adopted stepdaughter Deena Freeman. He is also a grandfather to 10 grandchildren.
