Moroccan Oil Hair Products

The Moroccan Oil Hair shampoo was the first product I purchased. As with all new shampoos and hair products, I had to open the bottle and smell it. I can't stand perfume-type hair products. The Moroccan Oil Hair shampoo has a delightful light scent, and I knew I was sold (and poorer....). But, could I justify the price?! At around $20 for 8 ounces (ouch) you might think this shampoo will bust your budget, but that's not quite true. The trick is to use just a teeny bit when you lather up. Moroccan Oil Hair shampoo works wonders so a little dab will do ya. It's also such a thorough cleansing shampoo that you really only have to shampoo one time through with it, instead of twice like some inferior shampoos.

If you color your hair, there's no better product out there to keep your color fresh and unfaded. Moroccan Oil Hair shampoo does not contain sulfates, phosphates, and is parabin free so your color will stay truer longer.

After you've used the shampoo and conditioner, put just a dime size amount of Moroccan Hair Oil in the palm of your hand and run it through your wet hair. The hair oil, used in a very sparse manner, will increase the manageability of your shiny locks while helping with strengthening and conditioning at the same time. Do NOT use too much though as your hair may appear greasy if you overdo it.

The Moroccan oil also speeds up blow drying somehow. I have no idea how this works but it does appear to.

The hair oil is also a great way to refresh your 'do' the next day. Just add a small amount of the hair oil to your day-old hair and run your fingers through it. It will take just a moment to dry but seems to give hair a "memory" so the style comes right back in.

Note: There are two different Moroccan Oil Hair Oils on the market. One is heavier than the other and seems to give my hair more body. if you have blond, thin or very straight hair, get the Moroccan Oil Light Treatment.

Even if you love Moroccan hair oil products, you should switch out your shampoo and conditioner periodically - this will give your hair a new feel.

1. While I've found that the Moroccan Hair Oil products give a great texture and sheen to my hair, they do seem to make it smoother and take out the natural waviness. Now, I like my hair long and straight but, if you have curly hair and prefer that look, don't use the regular Moroccan Oil Hair products. Instead, make sure to purchase the Moroccan Oil products made specifically for curly hair which are detailed below.

2. The stuff is addictive! You might think you'll be happy with the shampoo and conditioner but you'll soon be craving more. Go ahead and splurge: the Moroccan Oil deep conditioning mask once a week is delightful.

People are always approaching me and asking what I use on my hair, where to get it, etc. Of course, it's Moroccan Hair Oil products so the below are my FAQs regarding this wonderful hair product:

1. What stores carry Moroccan Hair Oil products? Most of the better salons carry these hair products although I've never seen a salon that has the full line. If you're a licensed hair stylist or have a friend who is, borrow their discount at the local beauty supply store. I generally buy my Moroccan Hair Oil products on Amazon as they seem to have the best prices.

2. Does Moroccan Hair Oil products dry out your hair? Absolutely NOT! In fact, the opposite is true! If you have dry, flyaway hair, Moroccan Hair Oil products will give your hair manageability and incredible shine. And, if your hair is oily, these products will NOT add oil to your locks.

3. Can I use Moroccan Hair Oil products if I color my hair? YES, YES, YES! These products are free of harmful chemicals which will fade your hair color. In fact, my color stays true. I wouldn't have to color it at all if it didn't grow out.

4. Can you leave Moroccan Hair Oil in your hair overnight? Sure. I do it all the time. I always use the shampoo, conditioner and a dab of the oil each time I shampoo.

5. What are the best hair products besides Moroccan Hair Oil? I sometimes use different products just to give my hair a different feel. I like Paul Mitchell products and, interestingly, I love to use L'oreal hair products every once in a while as I like the smell.

6. Does Moroccan Hair Oil have sulfates? As noted above, the answer is a resounding 'NO!' This means that these products are among the best for those of us with color treated hair (well, there goes THAT secret!).

I worked for years in the pharmaceutical industry and, with my inherent love of animals, I've always felt badly about testing products on animals. Now, of course I understand that, in some cases, it's absolutely necessary to do animal testing but not necessarily on cosmetics or hair products.

I was pleased to learn that Moroccan Oil Hair products do not have any animal-oriented ingredients nor are any of the products tested on animals. So, I don't have to imagine the pain those poor rabbits feel when shampoo is applied to their eyes!
