What is Morroblivion?
Morrowind + Oblivion = Awesome
Recently, a beta version of a program was released that converts Morrowind files to those compatible wit the Oblivion game engine, making it possible to explore Morrowind in the actual game of Oblivion. A new site and forum have been created for this project, and that site is Morroblivion.com.
I have successfully run this program, and can now explore Morrowind while playing Oblivion. However, it's still in beta, meaning it's still in development and things are broken and not everything works perfect yet. It's still neat to explore the landmass of Morrowind with Oblivion graphics, though, and to see great cities like Vivec all their glory.
Everything is going very well so far, and the project has advanced so much in the past months that now most of the quests are working, and the game is pretty much 100% playable.
Of course it is still being worked on and improved every day. There are bugs, but with the excellent community over at Morroblivion.com, things are getting fixed and updated pretty quickly. Everything isn't working 100% yet, though. But still, this is still a huge step and brings us closer to exploring beloved Morrowind with enhanced graphics, physics, and more that are part of Oblivion.
Beware that you should have a relatively decent computer to fully enjoy Morroblivion. If you thought the game looked amazing in the original TES III: Morrowind, just wait until you see it completely revamped with Oblivion graphics. Wow.
Note: Morroblivion is (currently) only available on PC, and it doesn't work on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 versions of Oblivion.

- fascinating, game creators spend months creating a game, now there are those creating a mod of a previous game to go into its new version. Cannot fathom the amount of effort required. Its huge!
