Going Out On A Limb...

I think we will experience a growing concern for our fellow citizens and the common good. Celebrity searches will diminish. What do you think?
My prediction
In 2009, more people will search for less celebrity fluff!

Cherie_, at 1pm on March 26, 2009 predicts:
In 2009, more people will search for less celebrity fluff and search for ways to earn money! Jobs, training for new jobs and what jobs are most needed and not going to go away anytime soon!
Best to all,
Cherie
TheGreenerMe, at 7am on December 22, 2008 predicts:
I really hope celebrity searches do diminish! However I'm going to say they won't. At least Paris Hilton isn't on the list.
mulberry, at 12pm on December 21, 2008 predicts:
Not sure that I predict that but I wish it would happen. It seems likely if "times are bad" people see the escape topics even more.
Evelyn_Saenz, at 12pm on December 11, 2008 predicts:
The Search for Chef Keem will top the list in 2009.
spirituality, at 7am on December 11, 2008 predicts:
Celebrities seem to be a constant in search - so I suspect people will keep searching for them. Perhaps even more as they try to forget about the (financial) troubles in their own lives. But WHICH celebrities? Who can tell?
I am a bit surprised the Olympics didn't make it to the top 10 though.
Comfortdoc, at 11pm on December 9, 2008 predicts:
People will probably be searching for jobs, surviving on less, ways to economize and get greener.
poddys, at 10pm on December 9, 2008 predicts:
The way things are going, people might be looking for ways to earn money, to find another job, or to find information about the economy. I think 2009 is going to be a really tough time for a lot of people.
aj2008, at 11am on December 9, 2008 predicts:
That celebrities will be a bit more circumspect about trying to hog the limelight because they will be worried about people turning against them for their extravagent lifestyles in the current economic climate.

- I know I should research key words before building a lens, but I tend to choose and write on topics that interest me. I don't follow celebrities. I don't care how many times they've been married or who they are sleeping with now. I do write about people, but its people I admire from the past like Annie Oakley and John James Audubon.
Thanks for sharing.

- Saw this on Delicious...another interesting topic. I'm hoping it's the high prevalence of "pre-adults" online that explains our search fascination with celebs.
