Officially this day was declared in the United States of America in the year 1914 by the US president. The story first started with the great writer, Julia Ward Howe. After the civil war in USA, Julia Howe mourned for all the deaths and destruction made by the missiles and human weapons. In the year 1870, Julia Howe declared a statement which became the part of the mother's day and this was the start of this day.
