How to Choose a Gift For Your Wife or Your Mom
- Do Not look for a gift at Home Depot, Future Shop or any store males love to shop in.
- Make a list of her hobbies or collectibles. Search in stores that sell these types of items.
- Make a list of sports she likes, is she a golfer, walker, biker or skiier?
- Take a look in her house, make a mental list of what she already has and remove it from the list
- Check her closet to see what size she wears, what colour her clothes are, and what style she prefers
- Is she practical? If so what kitchen item may she need? Glasses, mugs, cutlery, or knives?
- What is her favorite flower, colour, author, tv show, game, movie, musician, or artist? Find the latest thing that fits into her favorites list.

On Being a Mother
They say being a mother is a thankless job and I have to disagree. Everytime my children say "I Love You" they are saying thank you for everything I do.I am fortunate to hear the words "I Love You" lots, my children are still young. As they grow I am expecting to hear these words less and less, which makes me sad, to say the least.
Mom's need to be reminded that they are loved and that what they do for you matters. The more love we get, the more we will do for you. Mom's will sacrifice what they want to give their children everything they want. All we ask in return is to hear "I Love You" every once in awhile.

A mother is a biological and/or social female parent of an offspring. In the case of a mammal such as a human, the biological mother gestates a fertilized ovum, which is called first an embryo, and then a fetus. This gestation occurs in the mother's uterus from conception until the fetus is sufficiently developed to be born. The mother then goes into labor and gives birth. Once the child is born, the mother produces milk in a process called lactation to feed the child; often the mother's breast milk is the child's sole nourishment for the first year or more of the child's life.
The title mother is often given to a woman other than the biological parent, if it is she who fulfills the social role. This is most commonly either an adoptive mother or a stepmother (the biologically unrelated wife of a child's father). Also, in both African-American and lesbian cultures non-biological othermothers exist. Currently, with advances in reproductive technologies, the function of biological motherhood can be split between the genetic mother (who provides the ovum) and the gestational mother (who carries the pregnancy), and in theory neither might be the social mother (the one who brings up the child).
