Mothers Day Gift Ideas
During past few years I've been stumped about what to get for my mother for mothers day.
A lot of time I would get very excited about a product only to realize that it's a more fitting gift for me than her.
The best advice I can give you is to think about her interests. What does she spend her money on? And more importantly, what will she enjoy, what will make her happy?
This page will list ideas according to interests (hers, not yours : ) !) and an Amazon link to my top idea.
New Table of Contents
Books
If you do a search for her favorite book on Amazon it will come up with recommended titles (Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought). There will also be a link on the bottom called Link Mania with suggested books.
Or perhaps there is a local independent book seller in her neighborhood. You could call and have a gift certificate sent to her home (more effort is a good thing, she is your mom after all).
Amazon is currently pushing Kindle, a device where you can access over 100,000 books, newspapers, and magazines. Seems like a great gift for gadget moms who like to read.
Sitting Bull
Amazon Price: $19.77 (as of 10/13/2008)
Sitting Bull is one of the books currently listed in Amazon's Best of the Month (April).
Food
If you don't live near her, what about ordering a gift basket, or an organic fruit of the month club.
Music
If it's too expensive, you might consider an iPod.
If she's not gadgety there are several how-to books out there for using an iPod, you could also spend an enjoyable couple of evenings helping her to transfer her CDs onto an iPod.
There are several websites out there like iPod Blender that has downloads and videos for iPods.
Apple iPod classic 80 GB Silver (6th Generation)
