Help Break The Barriers To See the Possibilities and Make Dreams Come True

To inspire or motivate someone onto their own greatness is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Each and every person has latent skills, talents, and ideas for which they have hopes and dreams. If we can be just a small part of helping someone else, or ourselves, to see the possibilities and to move forward and break the barriers that will give these dreams life, we have caused the world to be a better place.

Do You Know Someone Who Is Struggling, Discouraged or Confused

When Someone is Down, Find Inspirational and Motivational Ways to Lift Them Up

I think we all know someone today who is struggling and having a tough time. Sometimes the most important thing to help inspire or motivate someone to continue putting one foot in front of the other is a little encouragement, a friendly smile, or a vote of confidence from someone else.

That inspirational and motivational person could be you. We have all experienced disappointments, losses and fearfulness due to challenging life events or circumstances. Sometimes life events push us a little too far, so that we temporarily lose sight of our mission or goals and all the things we have to be grateful for. Times are challenging and it is not difficult to find someone in need of encouragement and support. Some people find it easier to meet and rise above challenges than others.

Everyone makes mistakes, bad judgments and just plain goofs up from time to time. Some people can roll with the punches with great strength and resolution of purpose so that defeat is an impossibility for them. Other people become much more easily discouraged and defeated.

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall." by Confucius

Most of us fall somewhere in between. Our wonderously resilient human spirit emerges time after time to lift us up so that we can meet most of the ups and downs with a healthy mindset. However, many of us have known moments of despair that have temporarily taken us on a downward slide into heartbreaking emotional chaos. And something or someone stepped in with just the right words of comfort, reassurance or hope so that we picked up our feet and moved forward once again.

When someone that you know become overwhelmed with challenges, a word, a smile, or kind gesture from you may be just the ticket to lift them from despair. You can let them know that you care, that their life is important, their work is important, and that this too shall pass, and they can find peace, hope and solutions.

Maybe just giving a little of your time, some words of encouragement, an introduction or referral that can provide assistance, a book or an article or a poem with inspirational quotes, an offer of transportation, a phone call, a beautiful flower or some other fitting gesture could be just the perfect thing to provide that little bit of hope to lift someone up.

Subliminal Power

The proper use of subliminal messaging is very powerful in making life changes, Activate hidden areas of your mind, and release phobias and fears with subliminal messages. Olympic medalists and the U.S. Army are some of the users of subliminal programming.

Subliminal programming has been used by advertisers for years as an influencing factor in persuading a person to purchase a particular product. Subliminal messages can be sent visually and/or auditorially. These messages are not perceived by the normal awareness and consciousness; however, they do affect and influence the subconscious mind.

Usage of subliminal programming is a great asset to help affect one's consiousness in a effortless way that will affect behaviors, particularly, when a person is trying to attain certain goals. Like anything else, it is important to be consistent, and allow the process to work.

Teamwork and the Wisdom of Geese

"Fact 1:
As each goose flaps its wings it creates "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a "V" formation the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

Lesson: We can get where we are going faster and easier together.

Fact 2:
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

Lesson: Be willing to accept help as well as giving it.

Fact 3:
When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.

Lesson: People are interdependent on each other's unique arrangements of gifts, talents or resources.

Fact 4:
The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

Lesson: Communication and encouragement are key achieving team goals.

Fact 5:
When a goose gets sick. Wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

Lesson: Stand by each other through thick and thin". -- Anonymous

Don't Allow Stress to Put a Damper on Goal Achievement

A certain amount of stress can be positive in the right situation such as the stress felt by athletes that cause them to achieve great goals and set new records. Some people work well under pressure and having demands to meet deadlines, etc.

However, many people do not function well under stress, and in these cases, stress at work or stress at home can be a real killer of motivation. It is easy to become paralyzed by unhealthy stress which can seriously disrupt the best of intentions. For some people, stress will cause agitation that results in being overly aggressive and often causes bad judgments and decisions. Using stress management techniques to relax and clear a stressed mind will put you back on track.

Using Visuals and Journals

Using visual images are very powerful tools in motivation and inspiration to help keep one's eye on the goal and keeping it real. Keep visual images posted where you will see them regularly such as on the bathroom mirror, in the car, on the refrigerator, etc. Obtain brochures and actual photos of the object of your desire, and keeping these items where you will see them will keep the goal on your mind, which is important so that distractions and times of discouragement will not be able to get a grip to destroy one's focus.

Keeping a journal and/or a scrapbook are other good techiques which helps track progress and minute changes to motivate people. This is important to prevent discouragement and keep successful moments foremost in one's mind.

Using video clips is a great visual tool for motivation and inspiration. Here is an easy way to use videos to help stay focused and inspired.

Imagine the Joy of Helping Another Person Develop Their Purpose and Passion

If you have found your own passion and purpose, then you know the meaning and empowerment it has given your life. If you have overcome obstacles and had the courage to step out and embrace your own life in ways that fulfill you, wouldn't it be great to help someone else find and develop their unknown, untapped and undeveloped resources that lie just beneath the surface?

Telling someone else of their greatness is inspirational and motivational that may energize a weary heart. Your enthusiasm, strength, example and support may be the ticket to light a flame of awareness, renewal, hope and achievement for someone else.

"Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant, they is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks." by Johann Gottfried Von Herder

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." by Ralph Waldo Emerson

You may be able to help another person by gently helping them to redirect their perception of a problem that has left them stuck. There is a deep and profound need in all people to have a purpose. Sometimes the sense of purpose becomes lost or perhaps is yet to be found. By helping them unveil a sense of purpose or a reason for doing something, you may unleash a natural creative genius.

It does not matter how large or small you perceive your influence and inspiration to be because we do impact each others lives in small and subtle ways that we are often unaware of. Just a smile or a couple of inspirational and motivational words that plant a little seed of confidence in someone is a great gift to give to anyone.

You may change the life of a shy child, a teenager with low self esteem, an adult of any age who is struggling to make their life work better.

Be Supportive, Kind and Empathetic

Being supportive is one of the greatest tools to motivate someone. A telephone call from you that just says, "I care" helps the lumbering steps when the load is heavy.

Unless you know a person really well, and know that they will respond best to a "kick in the pants" technique, be kind in your approach. Many people become discouraged and disempowered by critical approaches. They are most likely giving themselves a whole truckload of self criticism without any help from you.

Motivate Children or Anyone With Personal Benefits

Everyone Likes Rewards

Personal benefits derived from achievement is a great way to motivate someone. This is an especially good way to motivate children. A reward of some yearned for item or activity will go a long way in guiding a child to complete their chores or do their homework.

"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn." by John Lubbock

"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own." Ben Sweetland

This is not just for children. Most people will be motivated by either compensation of some kind or recognition. In some studies it has been determined that recognition is a more powerful motivator than money.

Give a Child the Gift of Self Knowledge

Motivate Children Naturally

One of the greatest lifetime gifts that a parent can give to their child is the gift of self knowledge. This gift will keep on giving for their children's entire lifetime. If your children have a solid grip and understanding of their very own unique selves, you will help prepare them to be stronger, more confident, and have greater self esteem.

Each person is born with a unique personality and their own set of personal interests. These characteristics are part of the package that we are all born with, but individual uniqueness is not always recognized or identified and developed in childhood. Some children seem to sense and know from a very early age just what they enjoy and want to do for the rest of their lives, while many others need some help and nudges along the way to find their uniqueness and their very own passion.

Children born to the same family and raised in a similar manner are each unique regardless of their upbringing. For instance, one child may show an avid interest in caring for animals, and this child will probably spend a lot of time with the family pet, and their reading preferences will be about engaging animal stories. Another child in the family may be extremely interested in exploring and finding out how everything works. This child will keep you constantly on your toes with their never ending questions about everything from wanting to know how your hair dryer heats up to how your car goes forward and backward. A third child may seem like a daydreamer at times, but they often surprise you by coming up with different ways of cleaning their room, walking the dog, or writing their name.

Those are the kinds of natural interests and abilities that wise parents will pay attention to in order to motivate children. These parents will consciously and deliberately provide opportunities for their children to have experiences in which they can increase their knowledge and understanding in areas of natural interest to their children, and they will guide them in finding ways to express themselves in their special area of uniqueness. Using age appropriate materials and activities, they will encourage their children to further explore these unique interests. Each new experience will be a stepping stone into their self discovery and expand their awareness of what makes them feel good and what does not feel so good. With each unique interest or ability, there are hundreds of paths to step on where a child's inquisitive mind can develop, grow, and experience self discovery. As their self discovery is expanded, they will be able to make more pertinent focused choices.

As the child experiences successes from any of their small or large achievements while participating in an activity that holds a unique interest for them, these important building blocks of self knowledge and self esteem will take root. They will be truly excited from their heart level because this is a passion that resides within them naturally. Honing that passion with your recognition, appreciation, and guidance will serve as a great confidence booster.

As your children continue to learn and experience success in their unique area of interest or ability, they will find within that broad spectrum their very own niche that they will really excel in. Helping your children to not only learn and recognize what their unique interests are, but to enjoy personal successes in their area of uniqueness will go a long way in helping them to later develop a career or hobby that will provide a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment for their entire life.

Limited Belief System is a Stumbling Block that Can Tie You Up in Knots

Limited beliefs are the biggest stumbling blocks to achieving desired results. We all acquire a set of belief systems throughout our life. These beliefs affect every facet of our lives. Our beliefs have an enormous effect on our relationships, our confidence and self esteem, our self acceptance, our choices, etc.

Unfortunately, many beliefs that have firmly established themselves in our psyche are based on false and/or limited information. Beliefs have become a part of our lives and thought processes through our education and life experiences. Our teachers and those who influence our belief systems have come into our lives from many sources.

For most of us, our initial belief systems began with an adoption of our family's belief system. For instance, religion and political ideals are usually originated by parents who pass their own belief systems down to their children. Eventually, as the children mature and develop their own social network, read and study various materials, and their minds process the new information, those beliefs may change. However, this process does not happen overnight. Once a belief system has set in, barring a traumatic event causing immediate changes, these belief changes will gradually occur through a continuation of reflection, study, and relationships.

A person who is determined to become motivated and inspired to make changes in their lives, will undoubtedly, encounter limited belief systems that are based on false or limited information so that the beliefs have no real validity except in the mind of the believer.

Often, in an attempt to overcome false belief systems, a person will attempt affirmations, such as, "I am thin and my body weight is perfect for my body style and frame." But nothing seems to change. You still continue with the same lifestyle of eating and exercise; therefore, nothing changes, and you become discouraged.

However, if one examines the belief system of something like, "I have always been overweight because my mother is overweight", one can begin to pick apart that belief system and recognize it does not have to hold value for you unless you choose it to remain a belief system. Therefore, the affirmation can become something like this: "I choose to believe and feel that my body is thin and healthy". Making a choice to 'feel something' is easier for the subconscious mind to accept and opening the door in your mind to change that strongly engrained belief system into the desired belief system.

Changing a false belief system is essential for motivational and inspirational efforts to stick. And affirmations must be believable to be effective.

Seven Ways to Bring Out the Best in Others

How To Inspire Someone

Bringing out the best in others is one of the most rewarding things we can do in our relationships. Being even a small part of inspiring or motivating someone else that comes from your heart will not only lift the other person but gives you a natural boost as well. Here as seven ways to help bring out the best in others:

1) Let them know that they are loved and appreciated unconditionally. Depending on the relationship, demonstrate your unconditional love with your kind words, warm hugs, pats on the back, a gentle caress, a note, card or letter, etc. There are literally hundreds of ways to express your unconditional love and concern for others.

2) Listen to them, and give their ideas, interests and inspirations value. One of the most harmful things we can do in our relationships is to dismiss or lessen the value of someone else's passions, interests, or talents. Every person is born with natural interests and abilities that are unique to them. These natural interests and abilities are as much a part of them as is the color of their eyes or the shape of the nose on their face.

They need expression for these vital parts of their being. Listen to them, not just by listening to only their spoken words, although that is a very important part of listening, but also pay attention to what they do or how they act out their interests and abilities.

3) Compliment them. Because most people have a need for approval from others, it is important to give them uplifting messages and positive feedback.

4) Give them space. Everyone and everything needs space to grow. Too much interference, even though it may be well meaning, can smother their need for creativity and self exploration, and other lessons they need to learn such as resilience, independence, confidence, self acceptance, and self empowerment.

5) Never ridicule or make fun of their earnest and heartfelt activities in which they are expressing their uniqueness. Instead, help them to see humor in certain situations, and laugh with them, but never at them.

6) Be on the lookout for inspirational and motivational information that is in their area of interest such as classes, articles, photos, etc. Clip out the information if it is in a newspaper or magazine; copy and paste if you found it on the internet; or send them a link to the information in an email. Not only can you be helpful in giving them pertinent information, these acts will show them of the level of your support, which will give them encouragement and motivation.

7) Everyone becomes discouraged at times, and as a special someone in their life, notice when those times occur, and give them extra words of encouragement at those times.
