Moto2 Championship 2011
There is so much excitement when the lights go off and the race starts. Over 30 riders all heading for the first corner at the same speed. It might not be the premier class but for sheer enjoyability it is worth watching, because you don't get this sort of racing in the top tier.
Last years champion Elias has moved up to the premier class, leaving this division wide open. Ionnone showed incredible pace last season so he is the man to watch. Luthi was also a contender last year so he could feature in the top of the pack alongside Simon. De Angelis is the veteran with the skill but he hasn't been able to have the same success dropping down like Elias had.
The British contingent show some promise in this class. All eyes were on Scott Redding who was improving with every race last season and you have Bradley Smith coming up from the 125 division. He could feature as his main problem in the lower tier was his size.
One of the ones to watch this season is Marquez, the winner of the 125 series last season. He was outstanding, but can he adapt to the larger machines, only time will tell.
