Pimping Project: Engine In
Ranked #3,458 in Cars, #179,512 overall
A new engine gets dropped in
After the bodywork and spraypainting at Mamics the Mighty Boy was transported back to Newcastle Auto Dismantlers to get the engine put back in.
We've gone from a 500 to an 800. And I must say having driven it in since these photos were taken you can feel the difference.
I won't be involved in any illegal drag racing any time soon with it still being a 3 cylinder, but it's got enough grunt to accelerate up a hill without suffering an automotive cardiac arrest.
The engine block is still the same size, but the pistons are larger.
Vroom vroom...

What do you think so far? Be kind as I'd hate to hurt the little Mighty Boy's feelings.

- yea iv'e done a mighty boy conversion as well but i used the 2001 daewoo matiz F8C engine as it's fuel injected and 5 speed, I also cut out the dash and moulded that into the old majorly cut down dash so iv'e put in the power windows. I live in Dubbo but might drive down to Newcastle on the weekend to show it off (6L/100km). Haven't pannel beat or painted it yet but that doesn't make it any slower.haven't been beaten off the lights yet by ANYONE yet either hahahaha

- Performance plus! Have you considered changing the air cleaner for something sporty? Add a few chorme bits and add a chrome tension bar across the strut mounts
