Motorcycle Fever

The motorcycle has many names. Aside from the different terms that specific countries associate to them, they are popularly called a bike, motor bike or cycle. Unlike cars, they are single track and only have two wheels. Despite this, there are type of motorcycles that run as fast as cars. The invention of motorcycle is pointed to two persons who have made a huge change in this world -Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in 1885. These German names, as we all know, remain a legend up to these days. Their prototype used petroleum for combustion and relied on the two wheels to make a balance. As time went on, the business world developed and released their own varieties of motorcycles that used different fuels too.

Motorcycles are considered the most affordable type of transportation instrument. Regular models often have half the prices of a simple car. But this has exceptions of course. Their prices depend largely on their purposes. Motorcycles have many uses. Most who have them used them personally to go to their offices or going across the country. There are types which are made for long distance journeys. They are also used to make small errands and are reserved for quicker transportation to other places since cars are sometimes very hard to maneuver during traffics. There are even models that are especially designed for girls that include automatic ignition. These and other special features are made to combine to suit the different needs on buyers. Motorcycles intended for racing have different composition too. They are more inclined to serve speed to the fullest. They often have added features that are not included in ordinary motorcycles. We have heard and watched racing competitions that included motorcycles that have far off designs and even weird looks. One of the developments that motorcycles underwent is the attachment of a side car that can accommodate two or more persons. Some of these side cars have no top covers but in developing countries, especially in Asia , the covered side cars compose almost have of means of transportation. Needless to say, since only a small population there can buy their own cars, they rely on motorcycles with side car to take them to places usually of short distances only.

But others want motorcycles for pleasure. With the open air and the thrill of driving it in speed, it's no wonder we often see riders full geared driving along the boulevards and beaches. Others have formed their associations that meet regularly to discuss their interests and perhaps make arrangements for their fun. Men love motorcycles too of course, especially when they have their girlfriends riding with them. Now that's really interesting, isn't it?
