English heavy metal band Motorhead were formed in 1975 after founder, bassist and frontman Lemmy Kilmister was kicked out of progressive rock outfit Hawkwind.
Their first recording was initially rejected by their record label, but through the years and lineup changes (Lemmy is the only constant member) Motorhead have earned the title of World's Loudest Band.
Motorhead are still touring (and kicking arse) in 2007, their 32nd year.
