I had no idea there were glaciers or mountain peaks with snow atop in warm weather in New Zealand. Thanks for the tour, and the great photos. Love the basking beauties on the rocks and the dynamite glacier split (looks kind of like a giant whale breaching), Way cool.

I toured the entire island, but didn't get to see the Tasmin Glazier - WOW! Use of digital media has made it a stunning view - brilliant! It's a lens that isn't over-burdened with detail, but arouses one's tastebuds to making every attempt to make it a personal experience! The same applies to possibly the most famous mountain in the world. Thanks to the writer for compiling and portraying a refreshing, beautiful and memorable experience to a land where the waters do differ in colour in spectacular contrast to the nature of New Zealand! This is definitely a "favourite" for me!

I won a trip through work eons ago that included a helicopter tour of the glaciers around Whistler in Canada. It was the closest thing to living art I've ever seen. The colors and the swirls and shapes and the sheer size of the area were both beautiful and shocking. Sounds as if glaciers the world round have similar impacts. Your pictures of Mount Cook and the Tasman glacier are amazing! What a great trip!
