C-H-I-C-A-G-O!

Sweet Chicago. The Windy City. The City That Works. ChiTown. Whatever you might want to call it, it's still Chicago to me. It's the third largest city in the US, and one of the busiest cities in the midwest. With a population of over 2.8 MILLION people, why would anyone want to move there, you ask? There are so many ways to answer that I don't know where to start.

So without anymore further delays, here some reasons why i think you should move to Chicago this instant (well, after you've read this, of course).

The People

Contrary to popular beliefs, moving to Chicago will not make you smart, beautiful, charming, and/or talented. You will, however, be residing in a city previously occupied by smart, beautiful, charming, and/or talented people.

  • ACTORS FROM CHICAGO

    1. Bill Murray. A multi-awarded comedian and actor that got his break from Saturday Night Live. He later moved on to making movies such as Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, and Lost in Translation. Born in Wilmette, Illinois.

    2. John Cusack. An actor and a writer, John boasts a pretty good list of movies under his belt including Sixteen Candles, Stand By Me, Being John Malkovich, and most recently 1408. Born in Evanston, Illinois.

    3. Aries Spears. A comedian and actor made famous by his wacky sketches on MADtv. Known for his brilliant impressions of Bobby Brown, Don King, Magic Johnson, and MC Hammer. Born in Chicago, Illinois.

  • MUSICIANS FROM CHICAGO

    1. Patti Smith. A singer, songwriter, and a poet, Patti is one of American punk rock's pioneer. She is considered by Rolling Stone magazine as one of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Born in Chicago.

    2. Benny Goodman. A jazz musician and is known as the "King of Swing." Born in Chicago.

    3. Billy Corgan. Best known as the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins. He later formed Zwan after breaking his previous band up. Born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

    4. Muddy Waters. Well, Muddy is not exactly from Chicago. He was born in Mississippi but later on moved to Chicago where he found success. One of the most influential artists of all time, he is knows as "The Father of Chicago Blues."
