Do something different at your next Movie Night Party by Making Homemade Kettle Corn. This is done the Old Fashioned Way, but it is sooo worth it!


Here's what you need:

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn

1/4 cup vegetable oil or butter flavor oil

1 1/2 - 3 tablespoons sugar (lightly sweet to very sweet)

Salt to taste

Here's what you do:

Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan.

Pour in the popcorn, sprinkle sugar on top, and cover.

Once the popcorn starts popping, shake continuously until the popcorn is popped.

Transfer to a serving bowl or popcorn boxes and salt lightly. Makes 8-10 cups.

Variations: Add Chocolate Chips and/or Raisins

My Family has a Movie Night at least once a week. With life being busy, getting a movie and watching it together is a perfect way to reconnect. We always plan food and movie snacks, turn out the lights and roll film ( so to speak). Afterwards, we always talk about the movie, which gives us a time to just hang out.

You can also play Movie Trivia games based on your favorite movies or make up games like "Movie Charades" you can use a movie clapper to start each round.

Have a fun night out with the girls by having a "Chick Flick" Movie Night. Plan a movie, (there is a list below to give you ideas) get your girlfriends together and have a great time!
