My Personal Recommendations of Good Movies
Below you'll see my top ten movies that I watch over and over. I hope I can convey to you how special these films are, so you can watch them and add them to your list of favorite movies. Thanks to You Tube, I can share either the movie trailer or a clip from the movie or an interview about the movie.
They are an eclectic bunch from hit comedies to obscure foreign films.
I'm Still Laughing Over These Movies

- The classic chase scene from "Raising Arizona," starring Holly Hunter and Nicholas Cage.

Illuminating
Don't miss the movie, "Everything Is Illuminated"
Everything Is Illuminated
An odd young man, who collects family momentos in plastic baggies, travels to the Ukraine for a Jewish heritage tour. He seeks answers about who was the woman in the photo with his grandfather standing in the Ukrainian wheat field in 1942?
Serving as his translator on the road trip across the Ukraine is a glib young man who often mangles English. The translator's grandfather, a taciturn character, drives them. The grandfather's insane dog livens up the trip.
The viewer is often left wondering (what did he say? what did that mean?) but hangs on for the ride. There is humor, pathos, history, ethnic music and hiphop and glorious scenery to enjoy along the way. Eventually the role of the Ukrainian grandfather becomes clear and the ways their lives touch and blend ends the movie in a sad but illuminating way. (review by Virginia Allain on Amazon)

So Special....
Ghost
Amazon Price: $5.71 (as of 06/03/2012)![]()
Whoopie Goldberg brings marvelous energy to this movie as the reluctant psychic trying to get the ghost's (Patrick Swayse's) warning to Demi Moore before it is too late. Moore doesn't realize that her lover's death was far from random violence and now she is at risk from the same source.
The music (Unchained Melody) fits the movie perfectly.
The Movie Trailer for Ghost
Whoopi is funny! The scenes between the two lovers (before and after death) are quite touching and romantic. The action is dramatic and suspenseful as Swayze realizes who had him killed and that Moore is now in danger.
Great Movie! (review by Virginia Allain on Amazon)
