The Best Movie Trailers 2008 ~~ A Video Showcase has been put together using Yahoo's list of the most VIEWED videos which was released on November 26, 2008. On this page, not only can you watch the top ten movie trailers but you can express your opinion as to why we watch movie trailers. I am anxious to read your motives.

Curiousity may be one reason so many descend upon the movie trailers online. What does a new movie look like? What is all the hype about? Whatever the reasons we watch them, the results can be loosely termed a list of some of the best movies of the year. Or at least the best movie trailers!

This is the original music soundtrack CD for Wanted -- music by Danny Elfman. Wanted is a movie somewhat based on the comic book Wanted by Mark Millar. The film was directed by Timur Bekmambetov and features actors James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.

Movie Trailers ~~ Why Do You Watch Them?

What I am really looking for here are the reasons you watch movie trailers. I am curious; I know people flock to Yahoo and YouTube and watch them and I know they have different reasons for doing so.

In my own case, I know my family has tuned in to watch trailers for upcoming Harry Potter movies because we followed Harry Potter (the books and the movies) from the very beginning and we waited impatiently for the next movie. More recently, we have followed the news about the Twilight movie in part because my teenage son was asked to and did read the book.

So I ask, why do YOU watch movie trailers?

I watch them because I like to see what the movie is going to be like before I spend my money on one.

My son and I love to go to YouTube or Yahoo and check out the movies that are coming out in the next couple months. It helps us plan which ones we're going to see:-)

I watch trailers when a particular movie has really caught our attention for whatever reason. Big fans of the Harry Potter books, we could not wait for the movies. Heard all the fuss about Twilight, tuned in the see the clip and learn what the movie is like.

    I certainly enjoyed the Dark Knight -- immensely! Want to see iron man -- isn't it quite interesting what movies made that list? Escapism at its best.
